"September is still fine for swimming," Bellamy protested. "Any later and it'd be too cold." England wasn't exactly the tropics, but it was still nice enough weather that Bell thought they could manage it. The sun was shining, after all, which was a fortuitous sign, and the copse of trees would shelter them from any gusts of wind.
