Minty protectively wrapped one hand into the other, even though her finger nails were, for the most part, nicely manicured. She went through spells of them being shorter because she had been picking on them, when she was anxious about something.

"It would just seem like I'm trying to be provocative, that's all," Minty replied with a defeated tone. She liked to think herself very fashion forward, but her clothes had something of the conservative in them. She never went with bold colours or shapes. Only her hats could be considered eccentric, but they were always accompanying a mostly modest gown. "And like I'm vying for attention, being gloveless at a snow themed party."
