Alfred glanced at Jo briefly at her question before remembering he was supposed to be pointedly not looking at her. He looked back at his sleeve. He glanced at Zelda to try and read her expression but discovered he was not quite brave enough for that and instead looked off towards one of the other tables while she answered Jo's question. He was going to have to look at her eventually. He was going to have to talk to her eventually.

"Just a silly little party trick," he muttered, eyes back on his sleeve. He hooked the button through the hole, then quickly undid it again. "We were just saying how stupid it was. Weren't we?" he asked, with a hesitant glance towards Zelda.
