Dear Billie,
Thank you so very much for your letter! It might be the nicest letter I’ve ever gotten. I’m pleased you enjoyed watching the game - I was quite proud of that first shot, and our whole team so far! - and am so sorry that you were there to see a very bad accident. I promise that doesn’t usually happen in the middle of a game. I bet you’re very brave too, so hopefully this won’t make you stop liking quidditch.
Mr. Ollivander’s probably right, I really can’t blame him. Besides I’m sure you’re very busy getting ready for Hogwarts and all that to come! It’s not long now, is it? I hope you have the very best time. Maybe someday during the school holidays you can come to a Harpies game and we can beat all the boys!
And if you like I’ll write to you to tell you what happens in the second part of the game against Morocco. Though I’m sure you’ll hear all about it in Hogsmeade either way. Cross your fingers that we win!
Your friend,
Gus
