Mr. R. G.,I am pleased to see a response! I admit that I have posted a lonely heart before. Anonymous letters so romantic and riveting, don't you agree?
Handsomeness is not as much a requirement as it is a fleeting desire. I am humble enough to admit that vanity is one of my few flaws that remain from my school days, but with age I'm sure it will dissipate. Besides, a kind heart and a warm smile is worth more than a hundred handsome faces in my opinion. I'm sorry to hear that your spirit has been dampened recently; hopefully a little correspondence can brighten your day!
No need to give any identifying information if it makes you uneasy. I would like to know about your passions and your interests. What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
Sincerely,
Miss S
