I'm sure you are surprised with how surprised I was to receive your letter. Though, despite my surprise, I also feel a little refreshed to have heard from you. Father seems to be the only one to still be holding out on speaking to me.
As you know, Cane was here through the summer of the fog at mother's request. I've exchanged a few letters with her since otherwise I've heard little from family. I do hope you've been doing well. Feel free to stop by the bakery at any time. I'm sure we have plenty of catching up to do.
