Sister,
This year feels like the most stressful one yet. I am glad to be almost done with school. It has only been just over a week, and yet it feels like it's been so much longer. Mother and Father haven't sent me a letter yet, I doubt they're proud.
They don't mind me wanting to be a Healer, it's that I will probably be working with half-breeds. You know how they are. They don't approve of my friendship with Acacia; they really won't approve your your courtship with Mr. Ruskin — not that it bothers you any.
My studies this year have been going alright. I've started going through all the notes I've gathered from the last seven years. I don't know what will be on the NEWT tests, I'd rather be overly prepared than barely prepared at all.
I do wish you would just tell Acacia, Chrysanta, and Orinda that you're courting their father. I can barely hold a conversation with Acacia. I can only look at her when she talks to me; I'm sure she's noticed something is wrong, though I do not think she knows why.
It's easier to not blurt it out to Chrysanta. Please tell them soon, I do not know how much longer I can keep it a secret from Acacia.
Your Sister,
Sherah
