You mother has written to me and ask if I would mind taking you for the summer months. Given your late entry to the magical world, I think she worries that returning home would further slow your education. I have not, however, given her my answer, as I wished first to seek your feelings.
I am, indeed, quite happy to take you and wish to assure you that it would be no hardship to me. However, I am keenly aware of the draw of family, and so would not take any offence if you should prefer to spend these months with your parents, your siblings. There would be little difficulty in conjuring some excuse for your mother, if this is what you would prefer.
Do let me know swiftly, as I should hate to keep her waiting for my response longer than necessary.
