The thing about Arabella was that Hestia recognized a kinship when she saw it. Or at least someone who was in a position that she had once been in. It wasn’t as if Hestia had much choice in anything when it came down to it. People like her and Ara, they were dealt their lot and had to deal with it. And she didn’t doubt that her friend wouldn’t complain whilst doing it. “We have someone coming in next week.” She responded. “He needs a little extra looking after — not in that way,” she added quickly. “In that he needs a sharp eye on him in case he tries to short change us. He’s been known to do that in the past.”
