For Hauke though:

* I think Ida here might be my best fit for anything re; hurling but also as a likeminded academic friend. She's close friends with Prof Foxwood, and is always around Hogsmeade with her various studies related to her advanced Transfig work at Flint Institute. So academic connections/similar circles could be a thing. But also she's kind of a disgrace to her family and they'll be pushy about her talking to anyone considered ~eligible. Ida herself has little interest in marriage but does engage with eligible bachelors mainly to pretend she's "trying her best" to get married.

* During the schoolyear Maxwell Beck is my terror bastard child

* Male friends it's likely Hauke would run into Cassian Valenduris in UC circles, but if he doesn't mind drinking with the poors in dingy pubs he'd find Thomas Harvey there for sure
