Did You Know?
Braces, or suspenders, were almost universally worn due to the high cut of men's trousers. Belts did not become common until the 1920s. — MJ
Had it really come to this? Passing Charles Macmillan back and forth like an upright booby prize?

ACAB | ANY REP | TRAVELLING EXHIBIT

What: The Bone Menagerie
Who: Some sort of scientific organization hosts the event, travelling around the world, for all to see!
Cost: 2s to enter—see below for optional expenses.
Where: A cordoned off section of Padmore Park
Why: Fun?
When: Wednesday, June 12th to Sunday, June 16th

You've been to Podmore's and the Sanditon, but you've never seen a menagerie like this before: instead of animals in their traditional form, the Bone Menargerie hosts a myriad of magical and nonmagical creatures as living skeletons. It's morbidly fascinating, and it's open to the public! Because these creatures are dead, visitors can actually enter the pens and get up close and personal with the living skeletons. Included are...

  • The Domestic pen, which is essentially just farm animals
  • The New World pen, playing host to a bear, a pair of bison, a bald eagle, a moose, and a single rabbit that likes to hide in the bushes, so may be difficult to find.
  • The Africa pen, playing host to a trio of hyenas, a mother-and-calf elephant pair, a giraffe, and a cheetah.
  • The Australia pen, playing host to a handful of kangaroos, some emu, and a taipan
  • The Oddities pen, playing host to an armadillo, capybara, anteater, and a tarsier
  • The Water's Edge pen, playing host to turtles, a hippopotomus, a couple of caimens, and if you keep your eyes peeled, you might catch a couple of frogs.
  • For an extra sickle guests may descend into an underground cavern that plays host to magical beasts, including a dragon, a unicorn, an erumpant, and an incomplete (and thus, not animated) basilisk skeleton. This cavern will, of course, be completely filled in when the event leaves.
  • For a galleon, guests may enter a raffle to win a living skeletal owl.

The spells in place are delicate—removing a single bone causes the whole creature to collapse—and as such rather intimidating looking wizards are on site for the purposes of security.
