Dear Mum and Pa,

I'm writing again because it's been months and I haven't heard. I keep checking with the magic post office and they say there's no way their owls are getting lost, either. If this letter doesn't reach you, I'm going to have a talk with the owls themselves. They're magic, they can find you, they just don't want to or something.

Well, I turned another year yesterday. And kept thinking I would wake up to everyone standing around me, not even waiting until I rubbed my eyes to start singing and dancing with me. Some people have cake for their birthdays, we had each other.

Sometimes, that's all that keeps me going. Where are you? Do you think of me like that, too? I'm sure you are busy with some new play, but I mean when it's after dark and you're just about to blow out the candle. How about then?

I miss you. When I get enough coin to get out of this town, I'll send a real letter by Post.
