Background on Thom: an UCPB Quidditch inventor/industry mogul, Thom likes to be seen as an eccentric but what that really means is that he enjoys spending money spontaneously. He sponsors Puddlemere United and has for quite a while. His company, Quality Quaffle and Snitch, produces Quidditch gear and, more recently, Quodpot supplies and Quoderash materials (Quoderash being a Quidditch-like game Thom invented to appeal to ~genteel ladies for whom Quidditch is too brutal). He has two children from his first marriage to Chastity Browne and none from his second (visibly strained) marriage to Hannah Echelon. He is a cousin of Art Pettigrew and will get twitchy if you bring that up because he absolutely despises Art.
Things I want:
- Quidditch connections: Specifically if anyone else occupies the "Quidditch adjacent but not a player" niche, Thom would like to interact with you. He also regularly attempts to poach players and coaches from other teams to play on Puddlemere, so I'm up for poaching threads. He is openly disdainful of the Holyhead Harpies and Art Pettigrew, so fans of either could have some tense threads with him.
- Friends: Established friends with August Echelon-Arnost Leon Lupin, Roberto Devine and Aldous Crouch (that I remember? There may have been others I'm forgetting - hit me up if so), Thom could also be friendly with any UC gentlemen who will tolerate his antics. He is a member of Black's and a soft purist but not into the Lestrange power grab/dark arts exploration branch of purebloods, lol.
- Family: He's related to any Pettigrews through his father's side, Carrows through his mother's side, Brownes and Echelons through his wives, and Prewetts through his late sister who was married to Faustus Prewett before dying in childbirth. He also has two younger brothers who have been played on and off but are super open so if folks are looking for places to stash their new UCPB twenty-somethings, lmk.
- Protegee: I really like the idea of Thom finding some young man (teens/early twenties) and having an Iron Man/Spiderman dynamic with him. If that appeals to you come find me <3 Thom's only son is ~frail so he has given up on the idea of him taking over the business and is therefore loosely shopping for heirs.
- Assistant: Continuing the Iron Man parallels, Thom has a personal assistant whom he's quite reliant on; that position is vacant so if you have a character who would be interested shout it out! (either gender okay, MC/WC, respectable-ish unless they had some connection to Thom that predated their dis-respectability)
- Romance Thom is... not faithful :P He's not actively shopping for a mistress but he's also not particularly in love with his wife anymore and he's the sort who a) flirts a lot and b) falls in love with very little encouragement and c) falls hard when he does. If you want someone to make grand romantic gestures and buy you pretty things, Thom can probably be that person. I think he's been mistress-free for a while but he is absolutely not opposed.
- Ghosts of Plots Past: I'm mostly looking at the Blacks here lol, but if anyone else had things going on with Thom and wants to revisit / decide what has happened since then hit me up <3
