Putting Jimmy in front of an audience, however small, was possibly not the best idea. (And he probably should have been more daunted about facing up to a NEWT student, but of course he wasn't, he was raring to go.) Bouncing on the balls of his feet, the very moment the judge stopped speaking, Jimmy shot out his best attempt at a Rictusempra charm.

There was admittedly an obvious disparity in age (and presumably ability) between the two boys stood before him and Charles knew who he would back to win.

Surprisingly the pipsqueak held his own, Urquart was clearly feeling the effects of the tickling charm... or maybe that was just his reaction to Fletcher who had toppled over like a wilted cabbage leaf as his legs evidently turned to jelly as promised. He winced slightly as he watched the younger boy land painfully on his ankle at an angle that hardly seemed natural.

Mr. Urquart takes the round and may begin once Fletcher is back on his feet. Hopefully it wouldn't be a long wait...

Ow! Owwwww! The falling over was nothing, but the getting up made a pain shoot through his ankle. Well, fine, he would get through this duel even if he had to limp off afterwards. Screwing up his face and hoping the next spell didn't reach him, Jimmy cast a disarming charm.
