When the parcel had arrived with it's ornate and unique postage marks Suki had guessed at once where it had come from and who had sent it.  She also knew who might appreciate some of the contents.  The packets of gunpowder and green tea, as well as her favorite, the Japanese cherry Sencha tea.

She had some brewing in a delicate blue and gold china cup as she sat down at her writing desk to pen something for Miss Chang.

Dear Miss Chang,

I received these from a friend in Osaka, they are delicious and rather spectacular at the right tea.  After our tea I thought that you might be a rare person in this country who might appreciate them.

They might be a fun way for to impress the right gentleman when they inevitably pay calls.

I hope we can arrange another outing when your school schedule permits.

Kind Regards,
Miss Natsuko Mountbatton

A rather regal-looking snow owl arrived in the morning, and it waited patiently at an unopened window for reception with house staff. Attached to its leg was a scroll and small package. Inside the package was a small, handsome golden mesh satchel that felt light as air.

Miss Mountbatton,

It is delightful to hear from you, and thank you for such thoughtfulness! The cherry sencha is especially divine, I have never seen tea in such a lovely format. It will be a testament to the character of the man if he is so lucky that I would share with him.

Our conversation had me thinking that you may enjoy this trick I developed last year to help manage the books I carry. I call it expand-a-satchel, it is a simple case that can fit in even the tiniest of satchels. I've charmed properties that allow it to expand to fit an impressive number of items, such as cloaks and parasols. You may find it useful for gaining quick access to any number of feminine weapons necessary for a modern woman traversing social situations. I would love to hear what you think of it.

It was a great pleasure to meet you and I would love for us to meet again. I am typically in Hogsmeade the final Saturday of every month. Alternatively, perhaps I may find you in London when students have an extended break in March.

Your sincere friend,
Ida

Miss Chang,
I am touched by your thoughtfulness and I will be absolutely delighted to make use of so fine an instrument of battle.

I should be very much pleased to see you again in Hogsmeade and indeed if you have other planning appointments in relation to your debut please do not hesitate to ask. I realise it must be difficult to plan such things from Hogwarts. Do you have an aunt or cousin assisting with the planning? I might be able to recommend a few vendors for the big day. Why don't you bring your organiser along to our next tea. I should love to meet them.

Kind Regards,
Miss Natsuko Mountbatton
