Appearance:
Standing at 5ft 8in, Thomas is fairly athletically built thanks to his training as a professional Quidditch player. He has light brown hair and his blue eyes are often complimented by his friendly smile. Thomas has quite an inviting demeanour which he can thank due to his standing as a Professional Quidditch Player. Though he may prefer the company of himself, his occupation has meant he has to make public appearances often and he knows how to portray himself.
Part of this, of course, is in his clothing. When not sporting his Puddlemere colours, Thomas prefers to stick to simple suits – having taken a liking to the style Muggles tended to wear during his time in London. However, during his downtime, you can rest assured you will catch him wearing a simple robe should he not feel up to wearing a suit.
He holds his wand in his left hand, held fairly tightly with his fingers wrapped around the handle; giving a certain reckless abandon - though often flamboyant in the outcome - to the way he casts spells.
There are a few scars on his body due to a few accidents occurred during his quidditch career.
History:
1863 – Thomas is born to the Tilcott family; a middleclass family who lived in Dorset. His father, Arthur Tilcott, is a chaser for Puddlemere United.
1868 – By the time Thomas is five, Arthur has bought him a broom and started teaching him how to fly – to carry on the long standing tradition of the Tilcott family being professional players. At first, it is difficult and Thomas has more than one mishap.
One incident involved Thomas flying his training broom into the side of a house – breaking the broom and his arm. His arm was healed using magic though a large scar remains.
1871 – Thomas’ sister, Rosalie, is born.
1874 – Thomas starts at Hogwarts and is sorted in Gryffindor. His family move to Hogsmeade to accommodate his schooling. During his first year, he makes friends with quite a few people and builds a reputation as being quite a prankster though his ‘pranks’ quickly became less important as his father pestered him to join the quidditch team.
Thomas did and found that, in fact, he did enjoy flying – he had a natural talent and as often as he could, would watch Quidditch training - his attention focused on the chasers.
1875 – During the end of his second year, during tryouts a gust of wind knocked Thomas off of his broom, putting him out of action for the rest of the year. Being unable to fly drove Thomas to the brink of insanity as he’d come to realise that he loved flying and the sport.
It had become a passion of his.
1876 – Thomas is finally able to join the Gryffindor Quidditch team. He meets a boy, a second year, called Rufus who joins the Quidditch team alongside Thomas. Thomas tries to show Rufus how to play Quidditch though Rufus seems to already know. It comes to light fairly quickly that he, too, has a Quidditch background. The two form a surprisingly close friendship – much to the chagrin of their families who were hoping for a rivalry.
1879 – Thomas takes his O.W.Ls and due to his disinterest in academics over sport, he only receives moderate grades – though, thankfully, he receives no Trolls.
1881 – With much less attention on his N.E.W.T.S. and more focus on Quidditch, Thomas is approached by a scout and is offered a position on Puddlemere United – no doubt thanks to his fathers’ influence. Gryffindor lose the Quidditch cup though Thomas isn’t dispirited due to the loss; he knows what his future has in store.
Quidditch has become a large part of Thomas’ life and this has resulted in him becoming a bit hopeless when it comes to romance. Though having plenty of friends, Thomas found Quidditch far more interesting than finding a spouse.
1882 – Having graduated Hogwarts with moderate grades, Thomas is drafted as a Reserve Chaser for Puddlemere United.
1883 – Rufus is drafted into the team and their friendship continues to remain strong.
1886 - Following his aptitude on the pitch, Thomas is moved to become the First String Chaser of Puddlemere, a post he comes to love.
Present – Thomas continues to be the First String Chaser for Puddlemere United, though thoughts of retirement from the team are on the horizon. He frequents Diagon Alley fairly often and has been seen once or twice heading down Knockturn Alley.
