Have a Hudson

for Dean Hudson

Brother's names are flexible, esp given me naming one of my own characters "Tobias" recently. Mae's been referenced quite a bit in narrative, but as long as Mae can be a reasonable nickname, that's fine! The Hudson siblings were raised in a bilingual household so are fluent in both French and English. Their mother is French and tends to use it around the house, so they probably ought to still understand her! She was the far more affectionate one of the parents, while Aldrich adhered to the aloof distance most fathers maintained. He had high expectations however, especially for the two oldest boys; the ministry or be cut off. How that's played out for "Tobias" is open however! Mae has always been the exception, being the only girl, though she surprised everyone with her elopement in the autumn of 1887 a year after her graduation from Hogwarts.

I looked for some double-ups, though nothing jumped out at me, feel free to combine ideas for more connections!

"Crawford" Hudson Lachlan McClean	1863 | MCHB | not married, but otherwise open 8+ rep | ministry Crawford and Dean could not be any more opposite in most respects. Dean has always been outgoing and friendly, while Crawford has always been more of an introvert, better at academics than socializing. Far more intelligent than he is often given credit for, especially by their father, he's actually quite thoughtful and good at his job. Outside of this, he's open! His marital status can be anything from single to engaged, but not yet married. This could all be a facade and he leads a shady life underneath it all, or be inclined to debauchery like Dean is, I am Not Concerned, as long as the family rep isn't torn apart just yet haha.
Maella --- née Hudson Haley Bennett	1868 | MCHB | married | 7/8 rep | housewife Mae, as the only girl in the family, has had an easier time than her brothers. She and Dean have always been close, the most similar in personality. She is charming and social, impulsive and witty. She eloped in the autumn of 1887 and was Not Sorry about it at all. She is very much in love with her husband and they likely have at least two children by now. Of anyone, she might know a little more about Dean's past than anyone else, at least that he'd been heartbroken in 1888, though not who had caused it. She's likely now very community-involved and enjoys events etc, though people may not be quite as receptive to her, given the elopement.
"Tobias" Hudson Froy Guiterrez	1871 | MCHB | unattached | 8+ rep | ministry/hospital By the time Tobias reached adulthood, his father had relaxed a little on his previously held, strict stipulations about being a productive member of society. Still, he might have floundered a little, trying to figure out what he wanted to do with his life. He may have wound up at the hospital or ministry, but how well that's going could be up in the air. He might be passionate about something else (potions/creatures/inventing etc) that he would rather be doing. Open to possibilities!

KEEP IN MIND

Since Eva is an auror, every sister of hers takes a reputation hit to start off with. In addition, while the rest of the Danaher clan is considered a good and proper upper class fmaily, Alastair's family branch of the family is viewed as "lower" Upper Class due Sean Danaher’s horribly outlandish progressive viewpoints; now that it seems rather obvious their father’s eccentricities have rubbed off on not only his son but also his gaggle of girls, the general family reputation has taken a bit of a hit too! (Alastair, as a man, lost two points of reputation, so it’s likely the womenfolk below have lost more reputation points than that.)

All of these ladies present as female, but that does not mean they themselves identify as women (or are even as straight as they appear) – Finola and Kathleen, especially, might not. Go nuts <3

The Danaher Girls

BRIANNA THERESA FLANNAGAN (nee Danaher)
30 | hufflepuff alumna | ucpb
housewife/soon to be mother

Like many eldest daughters, Bri had a hand in helping her mother raise her younger siblings; her overly motherly nature was not a surprising nature. She, like Eva and Ena to follow, completed a full seven years at Hogwarts despite debuting in her sixth year. The embodiment of a Hufflepuff, she is fiercely protective and loyal of those she holds dear despite still being a proper lady; of all the children Sean has, she would likely be his first choice (outside of Al) to inherit the family shipping company – she’s exceedingly good with numbers and money. She is married to her school-sweetheart Johnny and, though she is a housewife first and foremost, maybe she has hopes of getting a non-income job someday?

Outside of her doting nature in Al’s backstory, I’d like to see someone really grow her character – especially with the fractures starting to form in this once cohesive family unit. Whoever takes her should also be willing to collaborate with Johnny's player, if he has one at that time!

ENA FLORENCE DANAHER

Eva’s identical twin (i.e. the two will share a play-by, the one who failed to make her dreams a reality. Even though both girls were fiery types, known to tease and poke and prod in a very unladylike manner, Ena was the actual instigator of the pair more often than not. Truly fearless – perhaps too reckless – she is brash and perhaps too honest with her open; a fact that has caused a wedge between her and Eva after her twin stayed in the Auror program (perhaps Ena, at first, encouraged her sister to stay when she got drummed out? But now regrets/is bitter over Eva fulfilling their shared dream). Though Eva is content to be an Auror, Ena had plans to become an Unspeakable, but those dreams lay in smouldering ashes in her wake. She spent a while after being dismissed from Auror training languishing about and being temperamental, but did eventually get a job as a columnist for either Witch Weekly or the Daily Prophet. While not as openly bitter about it all, she is still salty about the ways of VE society and is a proud feminist. Ena likely looks down on her younger twin sisters so “falling in line” with the status quo and isn’t shy about this opinion. With nothing else to lose, at least in her opinion, perhaps she’s set her sight on inheriting her father’s shipping company? (since, as everyone knows, Al doesn’t want it).

EVA RUTH DANAHER

Ena’s identical twin (i.e. the two will share a play-by), Eva’s achieved her dreams of becoming an Auror – but at what cost? It’s certainly hurt her reputation (immediate duction of 2 points) and caused tension between not only herself and Ena, but the other twins due to also harming the family’s overall reputation. Unlike Ena, Eva has, as she’s grown, learned to play her cards close to her chest: she’s become skilled at diplomacy… if one defines diplomacy as telling another to go to hell in such a manner that they happily ask for directions. Although somewhat opinionated, just perhaps not as much as her twin, she keeps most of them to herself – though she is, too, an avid feminist. She comes across as a bit of a flirt, using her words and teasing to side-step questions while extracting personal details from others. She’s been growing more and more distant from the rest of the family, even with three of her siblings living in London now, perhaps finally embracing a “lone-wolf” mentality with the growing distance between her and Ena.

LASAIR EFFIE DANAHER

junior healer at st. mungo’s, department of creature-induced injuries

Simple, soft-spoken Lasair has always been an altruistic soul, often putting the needs of others – especially her family – before her own; becoming a healer was really only an inevitably for her. She was likely, without her own knowledge, a bit of heartthrob in Hogwarts, though whether she ever reciprocated any crushes or had any of her own is up for debate (the former especially with Al glowering over her shoulder more often than not). She was very supportive of Al and his quidditch obsession, even going out of her way to help him study for NEWTs and has tried to be a similar pillar of support for her younger sisters, though to varying degrees. Lasair, honestly, wanted to be a creature healer but felt that was a step too far in the eye’s of upper class society – as much as she loves Eva, she’s not as selfish as to further hurt her sisters’, or the family’s, reputation any more than it’s already been injured. She does her part and participates in the seasons as they pass, but she’s does so half-heartedly because she knows her marriage will likely be the end of her career.

TARA HETTY DANAHER

Tara and Kara can be either fraternal or identical twins; if they are identical, the two will share a play-by but they only need to look similar to be fraternal – it’s completely up to whoever picks one of the girls first! Of the whole family, only Tara got to experience the unique terror of possible squib-hood growing up: she was a seriously late bloomer when it came to her magic, not showing any signs of her pureblood heritage until she was ten; she very likely suffered many slights from the more “proper” members of the Danaher clan and taunts of being a disgraceful squib. When she got her magic, it was truly a relief to her. Of the pair of them, Tara has always been Kara’s shadow – which could very well be attributed to the aforementioned late blooming – for better and for worse, so when Kara decided to go to finishing school, she was quick to fall in line. She is a former Penderghast Rose and is a credit to the school; though a debutante, she, like Lasair, is only half-heartedly participating in societal seasons (not that she’d admit such to Kara, who is trying to secure them both prosperous matches). She tries not to use her magic often, because her magic is and always has been weak and spontaneous in nature, which no doubt embarrasses her.

KARA JOHANNA DANAHER

Between the two, Kara has always been the leader and Tara the follower – and Kara is well aware of this fact. She no doubt took on this role early on in a bid to protect Tara from taunts and cruelty regarding becoming a squib – Kara grew up as an eyewitness to Tara’s struggles with being a late bloomer. She is probably intimately aware of her twin’s problems with her magic even today and she just wants her sister to have a happily-ever-after. She is ambitious in trying to secure good matches for not only herself, but for Tara. She likely seems selfish and like a busybody in this pursuit, but it’s hard to get under her skin. Kara, more than Tara, holds a grudge against Eva for hurting the family reputation before she could even debut. She might even be trying to help her other sisters that have debuted find “proper” matches, despite originally trying to distance herself and Tara from the more “embarrassing” members of the family while at Hogwarts. She does not like feminism.

FINOLA LILLIAN DANAHER*

tour guide at the museum of magical miscellany/debutante

One of the few students who exactly enjoyed her History of Magic classes at Hogwarts, Fi has always enjoyed reading about times long gone. While at school, she had dreams of becoming a magical archaeologist and traveling the world and uncovering its many mysteries; those dreams, of course, were never meant to be. She quickly discovered no one wanted to take a girl, let alone a woman on such ventures – it was simply not a woman’s field. In a fit of rebellion, she fought to stay in Hogwarts for another year after her fifth but ended up being so discouraged that she dropping out (to the horror of the “proper” Danahers). In order to make up for that rash decision, she agreed to debut immediately – if, of course, she could then become a tour guide at the Museum of Magical Miscellany in London (a deal that, surprisingly, worked). She currently lives with Alastair in his London flat and, despite his promise to make sure she participates in societal seasons, has managed to avoid at least some of that nonsense by playing on Al’s own lack of interest.

KATHLEEN ALEXANDRINA DANAHER*

The surprise baby of the family and the last of the Danaher girls, Kathleen is a wildchild and always has been; she’s always on the move, always looking for the next big thing to tickle her family. Some might call her fickle but she just wants to enjoy her life. She’s probably a touch spoiled, with youngest-child-syndrome, and has likely been influenced by Ena more than most would like. She looks up to Alastair and is an avid Chudley Cannons fans, having joined all things quidditch related in Hogwarts in order to be “just like him”. She very likely has big dreams of becoming a professional quidditch player someday, like her big brother – but, first, she has to pass her classes.

JOHNNY FLANNAGAN

Outside of his dogged persistence in chasing after Brianna Danaher in his youth, Johnny Flannagan is a very open-ended character in Alastair’s backstory; the biggest things about him are the fact he did end up winning Al over in the end and that he’s a scholarly type. He’s always been moony over his wife and worked hard to win over her family in order to court her (Brianna may have not stressed how important her family is to her, but he’s no stupid).

Whoever takes him should be willing to collaborate with Bri's player, if she has one at that time!

DANAHER COUSINS
all UCAlastair’s family is just one of three branches of the Danaher clan! He has two married uncles (older than his own father Sean) and likely has cousins of varying ages; save for Tara and Kara (and perhaps Kathleen), his side of the family did not spend a lot of time growing up with the “proper” Danahers due to his father’s overly progressive ways (i.e. his eccentricities), so any cousins would be very open-ended personality-wise and play-by-wise. <3 Per the guidelines, just contact me prior to making an app for any distant family members!

Mrs. Flourish

Ned's wife! When they met, she joined the duo of Ned and his best friend Nick Blott and they became an inseparable trio. Both men were in love with her and both delighted that their best friend seemed to get on so well with her as well. After Ned proposed and she accepted, things came crashing down between Nick and Ned, and the pair stopped talking to each other. In spite of the friendship falling apart, Ned went on to marry her and the pair subsequently had two children... but I am very much not inclined to have their marriage just be blissfully happy, I want some trouble in paradise! Whether that's trouble that occurred at some point in the past dozen years and they're slowly recovering from it, trouble happening now, future trouble, or some combination of the three is totally flexible. I'm also always up for past threads <3 Basically I'm seeking a co-conspirator here to help shape their dynamic, not looking to plug someone into something that's already firmed up! (Also if you jump in you get angst with MJ, which tbh should be enough of a selling point on its own).

She was previously played but rather minimally; I'm very open to changing any and all details about her & am happy to make adjustments to Ned's history to match. She is on the canon list so you're bound by these deets unless you clear changes with staff: Mrs. — Flourish, b. 1860, MCAB. If the younger Mrs. Flourish bears any regret about breaking up a friendship, it is eclipsed entirely by how much she loves the lifestyle she now leads. A perusal of the other entries in the Flourish & Blott families in the canon list would be in good order as well.

Pictured is Georgina Campbell because apparently I'll just put her face on every possible want ad until someone uses her. But her face (& ethnicity) are open, and if something fits you could even wedge her into an existing family!

Idris's sister is a canon character, so these are set in stone: Born in 1870. UCHB Squib. Miss Oakby's lack of magic has been blamed by the wagging tongues of society on her mother's actions. Though she does her best to keep her head held high, her status as a squib truly does bother her. She made her debut into society at 18, but has received only a tepid response. Maximum reputation of eight.

Idris has not named her in IC, just referred to her as her sister. Idris and her sister aren't super close, but she'd love to see her older sister married before she decides to take on a husband herself... which doesn't seem to be something she's interested in any time soon. She also doesn't want to see her become a spinster. Idris will eventually become very interested in squib rights thanks to her sister being one. It has been a source of frustration between them for a few years, especially once Idris had gone off to Hogwarts for her education, leaving her sister at home. How her sister feels about being one is open.

"Albert" Pettigrew

Born 1858, "Albert" is UCPB and the second son after his older brother Thom Pettigrew. He married Dru in 1888 and they have three children, but were told by a healer they're unlikely to have more. Dru found him perfectly acceptable for marriage and agreed to his proposal without hesitation but has since decided he is boring — but Dru would think this about anyone so his personality is very open!

I want him for: weirdly charged conversations that end in sex, potential affair fallout, Dru trying to Lady MacBeth him into something he doesn't want, that sort of thing. I am open to him discovering her interests in dark magic or some of her secrets!

By picking him up you get connections to her friend group (one of whom might kill her and another of whom is secretly in love with her), the Rowles, and whatever hijinks she gets into next.

Pictured is Taylor Kitsch, alternatives to be white and age appropriate. Also, I play Thom & can flex some stuff in their family history if you desire.

The McKelvey Men

for Annora McKelvey by extension Effie Clarke

Annie is surrounded by brothers and they are all pretty close. She highly suspects they have meddled in her romance pursuits though they will neither confirm nor deny. They never seemed to put up much of a fuss about having Effie around during the summers either. Names are flex, but most brothers have been mentioned IC at least once or twice by now lol. These are absolutely just throw away personalities, so you do you boo!

Grant looks like he has it all together but does he really? Is he harboring a love child that he pays maintenance on? Does he have some huge gambling debts? A wildly inappropriate lover somewhere begging him to let go of his life and to join them?
Reed McKelvey Nicholas Skidmore	1859 | MCPB | open marital status 8+ rep | open occupation Reed is incredibly intelligent; and absolutely abysmal at getting it across to anyone. He can be hard to get a read on sometimes. Passionate about his career (or some sort of academic pursuit outside of work). Once someone gets in and lets him nerd out, he's much more open.
Wyatt McKelvey Gabriel Basso	1865 | MCPB | open marital status 8+ rep | open occupation Have you tried being the middle child? It's like weird family limbo. Wyatt may or may not have always harbored a little crush of Effie, though never said anything about it. He is Annie's secret favorite as well and the one who usually accompanies her on outings when she needs a chaperone. They are probably the most alike in personality and therefore he is probably the most protective of her feelings.
Jonah McKelvey KJ Apa	1870 | MCPB | single 8+ rep | open occupation Still learning to make his way in the world, Jonah may have a less ~traditional sort of occupation, operating on whims and dreams rather than any sort of actual plan. He's the gullible but confident sort! Could be an artiste, a revolutionary, who knows!

THE GRYFFIN-PAL

Look, Pippa has friends. She even has a good friend that's not related to her! But a girl needs an ally not only in her house, but in her dormitory. Enter: "Athena".

It is important to note that each of these girls views the other as a sidekick and somewhat of a charity case, though they'd never admit as much aloud. To Pippa, "Athena" is poorer and from a less illustrious family. To "Athena", Pippa is not half so gifted a student. It is this shared belief in the other's failings that helps to bond them together and stops their similar personalities—assertive, confident, loyal when deserved, and a bit black-and-white, where thinking is concenred—from turning them into enemies, at least for now.

"Athena" is quite open, including her name, family connections, and ethnicity. She should be kind to the people Pippa cares about and shouldn't be running off championing halfbreed/muggle/whatever rights, at least not until she's older, but otherwise, she's a pretty standard foundation for you to build on! Pictured PB is Momona Tamada.

Sheridan is Harrison's cousin and as she has no older brothers, he fulfills that role for her. As of 94/95 she is in fourth year and is a Ravenclaw. Harrison is a generous man who likes to share the wealth that his line of the family has earned about so they would likely be well acquainted from family gatherings. She is quite intrigued by his courtships hoping he might find himself someone good and would know a couple of the debutantes he dated (and also been probed for information on the). She could be a good candidate for prefect duty come September.

His age isn't fully established but as of the year 94/95 he is most likely somewhere in 3rd to 5th year. He is intended for the military like his muggle father before him and all the men in previous Mackenzie generations. If he doesn't excel his OWLs he will leave and join the enlisted. If he does well he will continue to his NEWTS and then hopefully go into a path towards officer candidacy. He and Daesyn get on but he agrees with their father that she could do with being more lady-like and leave following the family traditions to him. Possible future prefect duty.

MAISIE PRESCOTT

Mae isn't stupid, she just gets frustrated with attending school when she is quite resolved to be a printer, like her father (he has promised to actively work against her in this endeavour if she does not obtain at least her OWLs). She is compassionate, calm...except when she and her father butt heads. Mae often feels as though she needs to be more of a grown-up for her father and brother since her mother's passing, and was privately very hurt when her father sent her to stay with her aunt Eliza for a few months after her mother's passing. Gus is a good balance of both of his parents. He 'works' as a delivery boy for Whitby & Co, to earn his keep his father says—though Enoch has been quietly placing his actual, if modest, earnings into savings for when he's older. Any work that he does for other businesses, though, that's money in his pocket. He is very bright and has inherited his mother's outgoing nature, though is deeply embarrassed about the fact that he struggles to read—in he modern day, he would be considered dyslexic. He wants to be a healer when he's older, as he knows that's what his mother wished for herself; whether that sticks in the coming years remains to be seen. The sister closest in age to Enoch, Eliza only completed one year of Hogwarts before leaving school to apprentice to a seamstress. She went on to become very proficient, and now lives and works in Not-Hogsmeade. She is married—her husband is good friends with Enoch!—but whether they have any children is up to her player. She was happy to take in poor, motherless Mae for a spell, though did warn Enoch the girl might feel rather put out about it. Indeed, without Cora around to serve as guiding hand on her brother, Eliza has been inserting herself into his business with more and more frequency. She means well. Noteworthy: Rhos’ two nephews don’t have names: seeing as their father doesn’t either, I left the names open for all of Rhoda’s living ties. You’ll also see Mr. Lewis isn’t listed below; this is because he’s actually a plottable character for Rhoda! Click here to check him out. Do keep this plot idea in mind when planning for these lads - it will probably affect them in the future <3

Food for Thought: do the boys know of their father’s condition? Or perhaps only one of them? Was one of the Lewis lads the reason Mr. Lewis was bit? If Mr. Lewis’ lycanthropy is a family secret, why are the boys keeping it? If they’re none the wiser, do either of them have suspicions? What will the boys do if they learn of their father’s affliction? Whoever comes along first and picks one of the boys (or Mr. Lewis) gets to decide the answer; I’m open to brainstorming either option with you too!

The Lewis Boys

THE ELDER NEPHEW
14-16 (*1878-1881) | open house | mcpb

The spitting image of his late mother, the eldest Lewis boy is a pretty, pretty boy – and just like his mother before him, he’s always been popular amongst his schoolmates (especially the ladies); unlike Rhoda’s late sister, however – who he is always, always compared to nowadays, to his annoyance, especially when he falls short of her legacy as hard-working – her eldest nephew is not the responsible sort of lad. While he is not close with his father, it is very likely his mother spoiled him as her first born, leaving him wanting for next to nothing… at least, until she passed; thankfully, for a while, he was simply forgotten about and left to his own devices by a grieving father. Unfortunately, now that his father has grown ill – rather abruptly, indeed – he has found household duties to him. Unsurprisingly, he is rebelling against the newfound leash on his life rather savagely. Of the two boys, he is more likely to have positive feeling about the sudden arrival of his estranged aunt (whom he probably only heard stories of from his dearly departed mum), as the two of them are a bit more alike in personality and she does not compare him to his deceased mother as much as his father.

(It might be fun to play with that inner turmoil: of loving the memories of the mother who spoiled him but hating the woman his father compares him to all the time!)

THE YOUNGER NEPHEW

Where his older brother is often compared to their late mother in order to get him to shape up, Rhoda’s younger nephew has always had comparisons between himself and his older brother used to discourage bad behavior; to no one’s surprise, the pair do not get along. It’s difficult, no doubt, to have a terrible teenager for an older sibling, to see the tensions between his father and brother grow each passing day. Between knowing – likely by accident, over-hearing as children always do – that his birth caused his mother’s passing and Mr. Lewis’ open struggles to reign in his eldest son, the youngest Lewis boy is shockingly mature for his age (probably to the point that he struggles to cannot with his agemates). He is surprisingly a low maintenance child for his age as well and, while he may seem to get along with his newly arrived Aunt (of whom he knows little of), how he really feels is open to interpretation!

The Bixbys haven't had it easy for the last couple of years. After Sloane's disappearance and Wally's injuries, things are slowly starting to get back to normal. How Mama & Papa Bixby are handing things is pretty open!

Carson Bixby Eric Bana

1834 | MCHB | married | rep 8+ Quidditch Coach A former quidditch player himself, Carson now coaches (team open, but probably not wherever Rufus has played!). He's always loved the sport and makes a good go of it! An involved father, mostly in the ways of amusing his children, he was always out there in the back yard playing pickup games. His marriage to Fiona was one of mutual affection that grew into love over time.

Harrison Bixby Guy Remmers

1870 | MCHB | unattached | 8+ rep ministry/hospital The epitome of a middle child, Harry is typically in the background. Steadfast and reliable, he's never had the need to be the center of attention like Sloane or the need to prove himself like Alvin or Rufus. He is content to do his own thing and play a supporting role in his family. IF you choose to go the healer route, I have some possible fun Sloane/Harry shenanigans for the future! I have always pictured them as relatively close as she knows she can always depend on him.

The McKinnons, though a respectable family, are a bit of an oddity in London. Having all been adopted by Grace McKinnon, a well off middle class widow, the siblings are not blood-related. All were adopted from the orphanage in a series of fortunate events that all saw them friends beforehand. They play off each other well like any other family, and are especially attuned to each other when it comes to the family grapevine. They are incredibly loyal to each other and like to bond over scrimmaging quidditch as a past time.

All of them sport a ring that they keep on their person at all times — some wear it on a chain around their necks, and others on their hands. Each person has a unique pattern they tap out onto the ring's surface with their wand if they need emergency aid. There are only a handful of times in the past years that a family emergency has been triggered.

Elizabeth “Eliza” McKinnon

❧ THE NEGOTIATOR ❧
Hit Witch/Auror | b. 1863

Despite her job, Eliza is the most patient and mild-mannered of the bunch, and doesn’t like to jump into things too quickly unless it’s to put herself between an innocent and danger (it’s lucky that they all live together, otherwise Derek would run himself ragged with how many times he has to heal Eliza after work). Intelligent, and perceptive, Eliza is a pillar of strength for the McKinnons. When trouble comes, she’s usually the first to jump feet first, elbows out to rally the rest of them. If someone’s in trouble expect her to be the first one there. It’s Eliza and Adam who have taken on the mantle as heads of the family, and as such they often find themselves as the problem solvers. Edith McKinnon

Midwife | b. 1865

The Healer, also dubbed The Worrier by Derek, Edie spends half her time worrying about her older siblings, and the other amount of times worried about her younger siblings. She's always been a bit more timid than the others, but no less eager to join the family in their weekly scrimmage. Dedicated to her work, Edie is often out of the house on calls for clients. She is an Optimist and Romantic and hopes to find a husband, however she is absolutely adamant that they be approved by her brothers and sisters. Pictured is Sophie Nelisse with alternatives completely open.

Isabeau McKinnon

❧ THE TRUTH SEEKER ❧
Reporter | b. 1868

It’s a toss up between Isabeau and Eliza for who gives their brothers the most grey hairs. If Eliza is willing to put herself between a citizen and a dark wizard without a second thought, Isabeau doesn’t really pay attention to any of guidelines that she should, unless it’s to chide one of her siblings for putting themselves in danger. She’s called on Derek more than once to help get her out of the oddest situations, and once fished out she usually heads right back in. With ink stained hands and spectacles that often get lost, Isabeau’s curiosity is bound to get the better of her one of these days. The family can hardly blame her though, and they usually give her a pass. They’ve stopped asking for explanations for her reasons for getting into trouble in the meantime, and Isabeau is hoping it stays that way. Otherwise she’ll eventually have to provide an explanation for why she’s kept her blood curse a secret for so long. Pictured is Skai Jackson with alternatives to be POC w/ an ingenue vibe.

Jonathan “Jack” McKinnon

Quidditch Captain & Keeper | b. 1858

Together Jack and Derek are often referred to as the Dynamic Duo. Jack is the Chaos while Derek usually tries to rein him in at least a little. Along with Adam they are fiercely protective over their sisters, and Jack often tries to get Edie to agree to more outlandish things in attempts to get her out of her comfort zone. He's had a few Quidditch injuries in the past, but is quite dedicated to the sport; a bit like the Energizer Bunny in real life, Jack is a true extrovert and adrenaline junkie. Derek and Edith are convinced he'll actually be the death of them. Pictured is Tyler Posey with alternatives completely open.

The eldest of them all and inheritor of Grace McKinnon’s estate, Adam takes his job as executor extremely seriously (almost too seriously, Jack would say). He is closest to Eliza and would trust her with his life. One might assume he's a bit more tight-laced than the others, but in actuality, he's more enabling than anything. He encourages his sisters in their pursuits even if they're not appropriate in society's eyes, and is a not-so-closeted Romantic as well. Pictured is Sam Heughan with alternatives to have red or blonde hair.
