What: Mrs. Morrowind's Menagerie
Who: All UC individuals with a good reputation or a middling reputation but super noteworthy would have been sent invitations. All UC crashers with a middling reputation will be admitted. Mr. & Mrs. Justin Ross are also invited because MoM, but no one else MC.
Cost: None
Where: Windy House, Mayfair, London
Why: Balls.
When: Saturday, September 11th

The widow Morrowind (30, flirty, thriving) does love a good party, and indeed hosts one each fall. They often are enjoyable and a hair eccentric, but THIS shall be her crowning glory.

• The ballroom is a massive bird cage, with perches throughout for the myriad exotic (non-magical) birds imported just for the event! Guests may choose to take one as a party favour.
  
• All flowers are similarly exotic
  
• A lion, a tiger, and a bear will be appropriately restrained, but present
  
• All beverages on site have been laced with a potion for the Midnight Reveal

At midnight, the guests' animal natures will be revealed! Really, Mrs. Morrowind's intent was that they just get some fun animal ears or animal nose, or maybe even a tail, for the rest of the evening, but her bespoke potioneer did not take those who already have animal characteristics into account. As a result animagi will transform into their animagus forms and werewolves into conventional wolves; both will retain sentience but will be unable to transform back. Unlike the intended effects which dissipate at dawn, these more aggressive transformations will remain in place for 3-7 days, depending on how much the guest has consumed that evening.

MC/UCAB| REP 8 | Ladies Cards

What: Married Ladies Charity Afternoon - Officially
Who: Married and widowed women with good reputations and with charitable dispositions - or anyone married or widowed who would be friends with Nephele Lestrange

Cost: No cost but an expectation of charitable giving.
Where: Nel and Priams London Home
Why: Socialites do charity things and gossip
When: 28th September

No gambling (officially) but to 'buy in' ladies will be expected to make a charitable donation to buy chips - there will be Ombre, bridge, Whist, Quadrille and basically any period appropriate card game you can think of.

If some of the women want to do a little unofficial betting...well Nel won't put a stop to it.

Chips will be able to traded in like carnival tokens for 'prizes' like a Seer reading, some haberdashery, magical fabrics your dressmaker can do what you like with, fans, coin purses, gloves and that sort of thing.
