Noble shrugged, still uncomfortable; he took a sip of his drink. "At least acrobats probably won't be... a common occurrence," he said. This usually wasn't something he would have kept doing, poking at the conversation topic like it was an old bruise and he wanted it to hurt - being awkward was Ford's thing, not his. Maybe it was the combination of that and seeing Daff, which always made him feel - better, and a little out-of-sorts, now that the plan was so off-kilter.

"No, you're probably right," Ford admitted. A part of him was a little disappointed at the prospect, but it wasn't as though he could have taken his family to see anything of the kind after the conversation he'd just had with Noble — he still couldn't get the idea of the girls noticing the same things he'd noticed out of his brain. On the upside, that meant perhaps he could avoid creating another awkward situation and another person he would never be able to talk to again — because after his revelation about the undertones of the Quidditch conversation he was
definitely never going to have another conversation with Dorian Fisk. He wasn't sure if the other man had been aware of the subtext or not, or if he had been noticing the same things as Ford had or not — but he honestly couldn't decide which was more mortifying. So, yes; good to not have any more acrobats, because he wouldn't be stuck in hot and heavy conversations with strangers anytime soon.
Then again, he'd managed to get Miss Belby onto the list of people he could definitely never talk to again after having just seen her at a party, once, so maybe he didn't need any acrobats to help him there.

Noble sighed, a little relieved at the notion of seeing fewer acrobats. He didn't need to think about things like that when they were all cooped up in this house, and he was hopeful that Daffodil wouldn't bring it up to him. He almost wanted to ask Noble, if he thought that girls noticed things like that - he didn't talk about provocative things with Daffy.
Maybe she hadn't noticed at all.
"Music was good, though," he allowed, finally.
