Appearance: Adrien stands at 5’3, with short cropped black hair and steel grey eyes. He has a lean but muscular frame from helping at his father’s blacksmithing shop since he was seven,
History: Born in Norwich in 1877, Adrien was raised in his family’s ancestral home connected to the forge that his father, and his before him all the way back to when Norfolk was in East Anglia. His family was by no means wealthy, but the small bit of land was passed down for centuries, and his father’s trade allowed them to live relatively comfortable lives. He apprenticed to his father when he was seven, and learned the basics of forging iron by the age of nine. By the time the letter with an invitation of a full one year scholarship arrived at their home, his parents were shocked. They had noticed odd things around their son, but the individual at their door surprised them even more by not only calling their son a wizard, but proving to them that magic was quite real. After inviting the stranger in for dinner, they discussed things heavily before agreeing to send Adrien. It was after all, a free education, if only for year.
Personality: Adrien is diligent and driven. He is polite and always ready with a warm smile.
Sample Roleplay Post: Adrien was shocked when his parents had called him inside for dinner, for there was an individual in strange robes sitting with them. The letter was read aloud to him, and he could not believe his ears. That is, until the figure produced a wand and turned one of the candles into a mug of ale. It was then explained to him that he would be going to Scotland for a single school year, for free, and that if he did well, could be eligible for a scholarship to continue attending. The professor left several books behind for him to learn more about the magical world, and to prepare himself for the greatest adventure of his life.
