History:At five feet, four inches tall, Delia both blends in among the masses and stands apart from her family members. She towers above her petite mother, yet stands a whole head shorter than her father's sisters and numerous nieces. She is a perfect blend of her Chinese mother and British father; but while visibly not-white, others often struggle to put a finger on her non-European heritage until meeting her family. Her hair, dark and silky, struggles to hold and a curl and is usually kept in an age-appropriate braided style instead.
She dresses to impress, but does not take full advantage of her father's income and opts for simplistic styles with high-quality fabrics. She is fond of handkerchiefs, and boasts a collection acquired from merchants around the world. She is right-handed.
1865 | Delia Eloise Timmons is born after a very long night of delivery complications. He mother is alive, but weak. It would be three weeks before Ling was able to hold her daughter, but in that time Theobold stepped up and took on a more nurturing role than expected by fathers. The bond between father and daughter is solidified—at least for now.Personality:
1869 | Four years later, Ling announces she is pregnant. Delia is too young to notice the fear in her father's eyes, but is not blind to the arguments between her parents that ensue in the months leading up to the birth.
1870 | Harmony is born in May. Births were meant to be celebrated, but Delia can tell upon hearing the news that something isn't right. She's unable to see her mother, and as the gloomy-faced midwife leaves the house, Delia is called in to speak with her father. Harmony is alive and well with her bright pink face and wispy curls. Mother, however, is not. Delia does not take the news well, and in her grief scatters her father's papers across the study floor, seemingly by magic. Another fond memory tainted by tragedy.
1872 | Two years pass and the family returns to public life, although not a day passes where Delia does not think of her mother. Harmony, only two at the time, displays her first sign of magic by making candy dragons float around the candy shop. It is the earliest happy memory that Delia has.
1876 | Delia sets off to Hogwarts in September and is sorted into Gryffindor. It takes little effort to find herself at home, and quickly builds a group of friends comprised of other well-off girls her age. She excels in her classwork, but her examinations do not reflect it.
1877 | Her father entertains the idea of remarrying. It's not an idea Delia is fond of, and in the summer before her second year she goes through a series of personality changes. She becomes more bossy and less of a pushover. Her attempts to control her environment do not seem for nothing, as her father gives up his efforts to find another wife by the summer's end.
1878 | Delia adds Divination and Ancient Runes to her electives. She's not very fond of either, and feels overwhelmed by the amount of work expected from her. Her grades begin to dwindle—and does her relationship with her father when he discovers her failures.
1881 | When her OWL score arrives after her fifth year, she is both dismayed and relieved to see she passed four classes with an 'A' or above. On one hand, it is enough to stay at school; on the other hand, she had to look into her father's disappointed eyes while reading her results. Delia joins her at school in the fall and proceeds to thrive where Delia had failed, leading to self-esteem issues.
1883 | Delia graduates and debuts alongside her friends. She thrives in her first season, regaining her confidence but also making the foolish mistake of rejecting suitors from the get-go. She receives less and less offers of courtship as the summer comes to its end, and even hears a few rumors of her "pickiness" and, at times, her perceived "flirtatiousness".
1884 | Her second season is less successful than the last, further fracturing her relationship with her father. She still maintains her status as a "catch" because of her father's business success and lack of heirs, but she struggles to catch the eye of any gentleman she and her father would approve of.
1887 | Her father suffers a heart attack in mid-April but is revived by mediwizards on the scene. He is weak, and it reminds Delia of her mother in the months leading up to her passing. Driven to marry and have her father see her as a success, she puts more effort into her fifth season than any of the ones prior, but becomes reckless in doing so. Rumors of her flirtatious attitude are rekindled and almost immediately backfire.
1888-Present | Harmony debuts and almost immediately catches the eye of a gentleman from the Ministry. Delia attends parties with her, where she meets one Mr. Willard Pryce. She is captivated by his charisma and how well he treats her from the very beginning. She grows fond of him, and then suddenly she is in love with him. He seems to return the sentiment, and she wishes for nothing more than to be Mrs. Delia Pryce. However, her father would not have her marry a bastard, acknowledged or not; but in fear of losing what could be her last chance to marry, Delia agrees to marry him... without telling anyone.
