How excited I was to learn you had been named to the national quidditch team, even though it has been so long since you last played! Cousin Fitzroy has always had the most wonderful quidditch judgment so I am sure you are, indeed, the best wizard for the job, but it was such a surprise to hear! I also earned three sickles, as I bet Vesta you would but she insisted you were too old.

How're your quidditch days going lately?

We have our final regular match this coming Sunday, against Slytherin. We have not had a very good season, though, so unless we arrange some sort of miracle (or Mr. Abney, their seeker, is poisoned), I do not like our chances for making it to the house quidditch cup. In that case, I shall cheer for Sirius of course, but it will be rather halfheartedly, I expect.
