Maida is born the third child and first daughter in the Carrow household. This in and of itself will bring the pressures of being a respectable role model towards her future younger sister. A role she does seem to achieve flawlessly in the years to come. It doesn't hurt to be the center of her mother's positive attention whenever she does exceptionally well in anything ladylike.Personality:
Twins are born, and all of the crying that comes from two babies living in the house leaves the little toddler insisting her nanny take her to the garden, or to spend time with mother. Adults don't always listen, and it leaves her frustrated and wishing that babies were quiet. Sadly no first sign of magic aids these wishes.
Beginning to warm up to the twins does not mean she is pleased to have a new crying baby in the house. Luckly her mother sees fit to have her begin learning from a governess. It is a distraction by day, but most nights see Maida with little sleep. Not something she very much appreciates. Still, better one baby than two.
Lyre is the first to leave for Hogwarts and it does bring thoughts of such a place to Maida's young mind. While she doesn't really want a career, she would love to be able to fix a dress without having to wait in embarrassment for a maid to do it for her.
Lyon suddenly dies. After a question or two, Maida realizes to keep her mouth shut. Too many questions would be rude and improper. The governess has taught her well. Mother does let her pick out her new mourning clothes, as long as they are appropriate, as a reward for not being a bother during an already stressful time.
Hogwarts comes along and Maida is sorted into Slytherin. It was that or Hufflepuff, as the hat had briefly mentioned. Though the sorting itself had not taken long at all.
Choosing electives is tricky, but she never really wanted too many classes in general. A bright girl, she also prefers to focus on what she wants to learn rather than get random classes that would never benefit her anyway. She almost chose Care for Magical Creatures, but her mother had insisted that she choose another course - on the reasoning that it will not all be small animals fit to be pets that they would be working with. So she settles on Earth Magic. Perhaps it will be beneficial in the long run.
The laughing plague strikes. She is lucky enough to escape illness. Then comes her choice of NEWT courses. She decides to take Charms, DADA, Herbology, and Potions. She did not find Earth Magic useful enough to continue with it.
Her NEWTs grades are to be proud of, especially given how few classes she had chosen so she may focus better. She is soon courted in her first season, and later purposed to.
The beginning of the year finds her married, and the near end of the year she is told that she is already with child. A true success story for which her younger sisters would now be looked upon to accomplish.
Isolda does not accomplish this task in her first season, and the poor dear is rather embarrassing.
With her younger sister still having yet to marry, Maida begins to wonder if it would be overstepping her bounds to suggest a few months time in the School for Young Roses. If only to get that awkwardness out. But, alas, Isolda is not her responsibility for and she deems that it would be inappropriate to mention anything... yet. By the end of the year, her healer suggests that she is likely with child, though it is too early to be certain.
By the end of January, the healer has confirmed that she is with child. Due around late September. Pregnancy all summer is not something that Maida is fully looking forward to.
