He has begun to gain a bit of a stomach in the past few years but it is hardly noticeable. He has dark blond hair that is fashionally kept back, he also tends to keep clean shaven. He has piercing blue eyes and a classically handsome face. Elwin keeps in fashion, partially because of his position in life and partially because of his wife’s insistence on keeping up appearances. He doesn’t often wear wizarding robes. Elwin’s wand hand is his right.

History:
1850: The first child and heir of Morcombe and Bernadette Abercrombie, Elwin is joyously greeted into the family.
1854: At age four Elwin finds his mother crying and in an attempt to cheer her up he creates dancing clouds to entertain her in his first show of magic
1856: Six years old Elwin is handed from the nannies to a governess and is discovered to be a tolerable student. He tends to enjoy anything over sitting in lessons but hates being punished and as such sits frigiting until lessons are over.
1858: Twin sisters are born to his parents. Cosima and Callista are alright but personally Elwin isn’t entirely sure why they get so much attention. Turns out they are pretty adorable as they grow up.
1861-62: Elwin arrives at Hogwarts and is sorted into Hufflepuff. He gets along fairly well in both his studies and socially.
1862-1863: A rather unremarkable year. Elwin decides he rather dislikes potions after he produces several explosive prone cauldrons during final exams.
1863-1864: Elwin adds Ghoul Studies and Earth Magic to his schedule. He finds them mildly interesting but not enough that he thinks he would continue them into his NEWT years.
1864-1865: Elwin continues to be a decent student and all in all the year goes by rather unremarkably.
1865-1866: His Hogwarts letters comes with a prefect badge in it. Elwin enjoys the additional responsibility especially as it makes his mother proud. The school year goes by much the same as the others and Elwin takes his OWL exams at the end - they aren’t a disaster, unless you count potions.
1866-1867: Finally free to choose his courses Elwin takes NEWT level Charms, History of Magic, Astronomy, and Transfiguration. He is a bit more diligent in his students since he does rather like the material.
1867-1868: Seventh year passes quickly and soon Elwin graduates from Hogwarts. His NEWT exams are fairly decent, but like most students in his position they could be better.

1869: The twins head to Hogwarts and Elwin heads to the continent for a European tour. He spends the next two years visiting Italy, Spain, France, Germany and other countries on the continent.
1872: Elwin returns home. He begins to pick up habits like hunting and pursuing history books while his father settles him into the task of managing the estate affairs.
1875: His mother begins to broach the subject of marriage. She and Morcombe have been looking for matches for Elwin but she encourages Elwin to attend balls but no young lady truly captures his attention and as such he is only half hearted in his attentions to anyone.
1876: The twins graduate Hogwarts and debut. Elwin is happy to let them have the attention until they are happily settled down with husbands.
1877: When muggles discover them, Elwin’s family puts in to play additional charms to protect them. They consider moving to Hogsmeade but do not want to leave the family seat.
1881: Morcombe approaches Elwin with a proposal. Elwin is not entirely surprised by the idea of an arranged marriage and agrees to marry the young lady upon her graduation from Hogwarts.
1882: Evelyn graduates from Hogwarts and debuts. Elwin finds that their personalities match up quite well and is not opposed to the idea of the marriage happening soon.
1883: In January the pair are married. Elwin is pleased to find that they really are a good match and finds himself falling in love with his wife. He is aware of her fragile condition and is very doting toward her.
1884: Elwin invests a decent amount of money into a venture that goes south. He keeps this from anyone, knowing he will be able to recoup his losses. He and Evelyn welcome their first son into the world. Evelyn’s mother opens a finishing school.
1885: Evelyn is safely delivered of their first daughter. Elwin continues to dote on his wife and children and invests in a new potion. It doesn’t go as planned and Elwin starts to worry about finances.
1887: The year does not start off well when Evelyn miscarries. It doesn’t get any better when her mother dies in the summer leaving both the school and Evelyn’s sisters in his fragile wife’s hands. Elwin frets over his wife and begins to look for a new investment certain it will pay off this time.
1888: It doesn’t - again. Elwin continues to keep this to himself. He and Evelyn welcome their second daughter to the world toward the end of the year.
Personality: The oldest of his siblings Elwin has always been very caring and kind toward them. He is ill disposed toward disagreements and prone to spoiling his wife and children just a bit too much. He also is a tad bit gullible and likely to believe the best in things. He does have a tendency to be prideful in his actions and when they go astray would rather keep them to himself then share what has gone wrong - for the sake of everyone else of course (at least that’s what he tells himself). He wishes people to see him in the best light and as such sometimes cares a bit too much for appearances.
