Names are subject to change as/if they are picked up.Appearance: What one will surely notice first about Emmeline are her big, brown eyes. Her eyes are also rather telling and tend to give away her emotions. She once thought her coloring to be quite bland and run of the mill but has since grown not to give it much thought.
Andrew Woodcroft, Father b.1835- Though perhaps not quite as much of a daddy’s girl as her older sister, Emmeline does look up to him.
Amelia Woodcroft nee ---, Mother b.1842- Emmy quite adores her mother and hopes to one day be as great of a mother and wife as Emmy views her as.
Hudson Woodcroft, Brother b.1861- Of her siblings, Emmy is much closer to her brother. She doesn’t think ill of him for his disagreement with their father and even meets up with him from time to time to talk over tea.
Pauline Woodcroft, Sister b.1867- Though relatively close, the two definitely fight like sisters and Emmy isn’t all that fond of her sister’s resentment of their brother.
Emma, tortiseshell kitten b.1886
Her hair is of a similar brown to her eyes and is kept at a longer length. While once rather curly when left down, it has softened as she’s grown older and learned how to style it more simply. If it isn’t done up properly for any given occasion, she prefers for it to be in a simple braid.
With such pale skin, Emmeline tends to stick to softer or neutral colors for her dresses. Her dresses may not always be of the highest fashion but they are always in pristine condition. She prefers more simple dresses than anything flamboyant but knows that sometimes “prettier” dresses are required. She is quite ambidextrous but tends to favor her right hand both for her writing and wandwork. She’s reached her maximum height of five foot even though still has yet to fully fill out any womanly curves though she’s clearly begun growing into quite the young woman.

History:
Prebirth- While Andrew took pride in his heritage of being a descendant of the original founder of Hogsmeade, he was one that couldn’t wait to get out of the tiny and underdeveloped town of Hogsmeade. He was quick to relocate upon his graduation and moved to London. He married Amelia shortly after her debut and they gave birth to a son shortly after their marriage. A daughter followed several years later.Personality: Emmeline is a quite confident and loyal young woman. Family means everything to her and the Woodcrofts appear to be a rather tight knit family. It is perhaps why Hudson’s silent treatment toward Mr. Woodcroft has created quite the rift among the family. Emmy tries to remain neutral as she loves both her father and her brother. Emmy is smart but not geniusly so. She does, however, work hard at anything and everything she does. She’s not one to balk at a challenge and gives it her all even if the outcome may look dismal. She does her best to remain optimistic when confronted with a challenge. She has a particular liking for creatures of all shapes and sizes. Most animals seem to take a liking to her as well. She may not have the most beautiful of singing voices though she is a rather accomplished pianist and enjoys playing the instrument.
1870- On a rather dismal and dreary day, Emmeline was born but seemed to instantly lighten up her mother’s day. A rather cheerful and docile baby, Emmeline would be Andrew and Amelia’s final child.
1872- Hudson goes off to Hogwarts with his newly acquired pet (as is tradition for the family), something that hardly registers with an almost two year old Emmeline.
1875- Emmeline’s grandfather, a man she hardly remembered, dies. What Emmy does remember, however, is that his death meant uprooting her family to be moved to some tiny little dirt ridden town. In the midst of a temper tantrum over having to move to Hogsmeade, Emmy shows her first signs of magic by making the teapot her mother had just set down and walked away from explode and shatter. She feels quite guilty afterwards, despite the happiness her parents show, and remains silent the entire trip to Hogsmeade. She begins learning the piano once they move to Hogsmeade and takes to it rather well.
1877- The Woodcrofts watch as wizarding folk begin to come to Hogsmeade in droves to avoid persecution over their abilities. Emmy is rather excited and looks forward to the idea of having new friends. It isn’t long before Andrew spends a night gambling and manages to lose The Three Broomsticks, the family’s heritage and original reason for moving to Hogsmeade. Emmeline doesn’t quite understand the meaning of it but it seems to cause some animosity within the household.
1879- It is Pauline’s turn to go to school and Hudson’s final year. Though Emmeline knows it is coming and seems unphased by it, she is more jealous and upset that Pauline gets her pick of a pet.
1880- Hudson moves out promptly upon graduation, only increasing the animosity between him and their father.
1882- It is finally Emmeline’s turn to go to school. She’s quite excited to finally be going to Hogwarts but her main excitement lies in acquiring her own pet. She opts for a tiny little tortoiseshell kitten with big green eyes. She promptly names her Emma due to her reading of the book titled Emma by Jane Austen. Pauline thinks it is quite absurd considering she is called Emmy. Emmeline doesn’t give it a second thought and enjoys doting on the newly acquired kitten. Emmeline is sorted into Gryffindor and is quite pleased with the Sorting Hat’s choice.
1884-The carnival arrives and Emmy is quite excited for it. The family enjoys some of the festivities together. Emmy begins to show signs of the plague. Her symptoms progress to a loss of appetite, leaving her family to grow quite worried. Luckily, she regains her appetite and is able to beat the illness. All of the Woodcroft family survives.
1885- The animosity between Andrew and Hudson hits a new high and the younger Woodcroft male stops speaking to Mr. Woodcroft. Emmy is quick to notice that her brother no longer comes by the family home. It is quite disheartening for the girl but she remains in contact with Hudson.
1886- As the new year begins, Emmeline looks forward to summer. While she enjoys her studies, she also enjoys the free time at the end of a school term. It will also be the summer of Pauline’s debut as she finishes her final year at Hogwarts. It means plenty of balls and Emmy can only hope she’ll be allowed to attend some as she has quite taken to dancing and loves having the opportunity to dress up. Emmeline is made a Prefect! She can hardly believe it, especially after the boggart incident and being out of the commons after hours. She takes her duties seriously though is still saddened that her best friend was not able to return to Hogwarts. Regardless, she must focus on her studies and Prefect duties.
1887- Emmy does decently on her OWLs though definitely has room for improvement. As a result, she spend the majority of her summer at home and going through any books she can get her hands on to further her knowledge. When she returns to school, she takes her Prefect duties and studies quite seriously. However, not long after the beginning of term, Emmy is hit with her first schoolgirl crush. She falls hard for Mundungus MacFusty and quickly becomes a nervous wreck in his presence. He also ends up being her first kiss thanks to the mistletoe mishap around Hogsmeade during Winter break.
1888- Emmy ends up avoiding Mundungus once back at school, still quite embarrassed from the forced kiss. She begins throwing herself into her school work and duties as a result. With the release of a rather ridiculous Witch Weekly edition claiming women shouldn’t be allowed to become animagi, she begins training with her Transfiguration professor Violet Wiltingham becoming even more determined to become one herself.
Other:
Sample Roleplay Post: Emmeline could hardly believe the article she'd read that morning at breakfast. It wasn't often she put much thought into the ludicrous things written about in Witch Weekly but the article about girls being animagi had quickly spread like wildfire and she'd had to read it for herself. As such, she had seethed the entire day just thinking about what had been written. It was absolutely absurd but surely someone would catch wind of it and think it to be quite relevant and that was just not something Emmeline wanted. She'd started earlier in the year to begin researching the process on her own but now she felt as though she needed to take it a step further.
Once she had finished up her classes, she had headed straight for the Transfiguration classroom to speak with Professor Wiltingham with the offending ARTICLE clutched tightly in her hand. A quick perusal showed that the professor wasn't in the classroom so the Gryffindor prefect stalked quickly to where she knew the professor's office to be. She rapped quickly on the door before simply opening it and charging in. The frustration and anger was clearly evident in her eyes as they fell on the older woman.
"Professor!" she exclaimed, catching her breath and sticking a hand out with the article in it, "They don't think girls, women, should be allowed to become animagi!"
