I am pleased to have received your owl. I had worried that you would receive so many responses to your ad that mine would be lost within the pack. Getting to know each other is an agreeable idea. After which, I believe arranging an in-person meeting is in order. As the lady, I'll entrust that delightful suggestion into your hands. I wouldn't want to make you uncomfortable by being too forward or pushy.

A bit about me:

• I am 28 years of age.
  
• I was sorted into Slytherin.
  
• I have worked for the Ministry since I left Hogwarts and have been the head of my department for nearly three years.
  
• I am in a position to take a wife and hope to one day have several children.

I quite agree with you. Somewhere within Hogsmeade would be ideal for me - perhaps tea at the Painted Lady? They have the most delicious scones.

I am soon to be 23 years of age and was also a Slytherin. I have never worked and don't have any intention to. I have a fondness for adventure books and as I said in my ad, would love to travel. I have never been out of the United Kingdom and I believe your response said that you have been to America? What was it like there?

Miss Seeking Adventure,

The Painted Lady works well for me, as I live in Hogsmeade at present. When you are ready, simply name a day and time and I would be happy to meet you.

America is an interesting place - quite different from the United Kingdom. I was there on business and did not get much chance to explore, unfortunately. I have developed a penchant for coffee however, I find the bitterness suits my palette better than that of tea.

What places would you like to travel?

I also live in Hogsmeade - in the wealthier end of Bartonburg, to be precise! Wouldn't it be amusing to discover that we're neighbors all along?

I don't think I have ever tasted coffee. I am more partial to sweet teas myself. Do you take sugar or honey in your coffee as one would a tea?

I would like to go to America, perhaps Africa. Brazil has always struck me as a fascinating place to visit.

I am quite certain that if we were neighbors, we would be aware of it and wouldn't need a lonely hearts advertisement to discover each other. After all, it seems we have much in common!

I don't take anything in my coffee - I take it black, as they say in America. I have seen the ladies there use cream or even sugar to sweeten it a bit.

I am sure that you are quite right. The world does work in curious ways some days, I have found.

I enjoy reading, trying my hand at embroidery and lately, I have taken an interest in trying to paint. I can't profess to be proving entirely skilled at it much to my dismay.

I admire your artistic trait! Clearly you must have a sense for it, if you embroider and paint. I haven't an artistic bone in my body, sadly. My art class homework was always marked well, but only for effort rather than actual talent. What subject do you enjoy painting the most?
