'Clearing' is where a third level institution, fills any remaining course spaces and helps students to find a place at university if they haven't already confirmed one. It's available to anyone who has just got their NEWT results

Clearing is ideal for students who:

• Changed their mind about what they want to study or what job they wanted post Hogwarts
  
• Got different grades than expected - better or worse
  
• Were late thinking about what they were going to do after school
  
• UC sons who want to avoid 'work' but not seem like a wastrel so they can go off to do 'research' for a year or two to buy time
  
• Can't afford a grand tour and need an excuse to cover
  

Thad is taking meetings with Hogwarts grads who want some direction!

Mostly this will apply to young men - as directionless ladies are more likely to be sent to the PSYR.
