Appearance: Petra is 5'1" and unlikely to grow any taller now. She has an ample bosom that would likely be envied by some if she didn't take such pains to hide it. Her figure is otherwise unremarkable and rather average. Her hair is middling to dark blonde and her eye is a very light blue. Yes, eye singular. The glass eye she wears is a matching shade of blue and very convincing at a glance. Upon closer inspection her glass eye just doesn't quite look as a normal eye should and most noticeably the pupil does not dilate or contract and there is a slight delay in movement compared to her real eye. Sometimes it even sticks. She is right handed.
History:
1869 | Petra is born in Russia, the second daughter born to Svetlana and Nikolai Sleptov.
1874 | Her first magical outburst takes place when she summons a toy into her hand that was place out of her reach.
1876 | Unbeknownst to her - along with the rest of the family - Nikolai loses his job. The significance for Pet is that he's suddenly home a lot more.
1877 | At eight, her life is turned upside down when the family uproot and move all the way to Britain. She doesn't like the change. To make it worse, her father not only resumes the schedule of a professor, but Eva goes off to school with him. At least she has her mother.
1878 | Petra's mother dies. She is inconsolable. Her only solace is the distraction of books which at least has the benefit of improving her intellect.
1880 | Having harbored an irrational fear for the last two years that she would be sent off to Koldovstoretz instead of Hogwarts, she is relieved when her Hogwarts letter arrives. Upon arriving at school, she hopes to be sorted into Slytherin with Eva, but instead becomes a Ravenclaw.
1881 | Aunt Ivana turns up. Pet isn't as fond of her as Eva is, but she doesn't dislike her.
1883 | Pet has her first kiss over the summer with a fellow third year Ravenclaw. She takes a disliking to the boy and wishes it had never happened. For a few weeks her regret about kissing her classmate preys on her mind frequently, but then her father returns from a trip to Russia with a surprise wife. She takes an immediate disliking of Ustinya which places a strain on her relationship with her father for the first time ever.
1884 | Ustinya has a son but he is born dead. Pet feels guilty about how relieved she is that Ivan didn't live. The Laughing Plague arrives and Pet takes ill. Fortunately, she recovers and lives to receive her prefect letter from Hogwarts.
1885 | The Pan-Magical Games come to Hogwarts and Pet is chosen to be a Champion. That summer Rosaline Bennett, the Ravenclaw matron, and her son Archie stay with Sleptovs.
1886 | While taking part in a dueling demonstration in her father's classroom, Pet's eye is gouged out in front of the whole class. Unable to salvage it, she spends the rest of the school year moping around in an eye patch. That summer her father buys her a glass eye which does much to restore some of her confidence. Pet is made Head Girl.
1887 | The day she had been dreading finally arrives. The Coming Out Ball. The beginning of her life as a debutante. Just in case she hadn't been tortured enough with the school ball, a private Coming Out ball is held just for her. Debutante life does not agree with her and her first season is predictably a failure. Eva marries at the end of the year, another event she was dreading, leaving Pet at home with only Ustinya for company once her father returns to school.
1888 | Pet hates her life.
