Irvingly Lockdown Lifted
Ministry "confident" no murderous beasts in area
As of Monday morning, the village of Irvingly is no longer under lockdown and residents—and accidental internees—may return to their usual lives.
This comes as welcome news, following just under a week of lockdown due to what was later learned to be an acromantula attack in the village. Though one of the beasts was slain earlier in the lockdown, the Ministry of Magic chose to keep the strict precautions in place to ensure no more lurked nearby.
"We are confident that there are no more acromantula in the area, and have increased vigilance in our overseeing of imports into this country," says a representative for the Ministry. "This is a terrible tragedy, and not one that will be repeated."
The arrival of the acromantula, a native of the Asian continent, into the village is still under investigation.
