Ministry Archaeologists packing up Hogsmeade dig
The extensive archaeological dig that has been taking place near Hogsmeade since spring is, sources report, coming to a close.
The Ministry of Magic took over the dig in June after the muggle expedition's tragic demise. Since, various teams have worked hard to process as many Pictish artifacts as possible. While the site will be considered off-limits to the public for some time, a spokeswitch for the ministry says that archaeologists believe there is little left to gain.
Artifacts already identified as 'safe' will be transported directly to the Museum of Magical Miscellany in London for use in a future exhibit. All other artifacts will remain the property of the ministry (in particular the Deparment of Mysteries) until their qualities can be identified.
Though no official date has been published, unofficial sources expect the artifacts to be moved by the end of the month.
