Did You Know?
Braces, or suspenders, were almost universally worn due to the high cut of men's trousers. Belts did not become common until the 1920s. — MJ
Had it really come to this? Passing Charles Macmillan back and forth like an upright booby prize?

Constance Sykes vs. Theodore Gallivan
#1
How did he have Theo again? Cash ran through the rules quickly, because both participants had dueled the first time around. For a change of pace from thinking about Theo, he bid Miss Sykes begin the duel.

Connie had considered forfeiting when she saw the name next to hers. Unbeknownst to Mr. Lestrange she too was questing how she had ended up with Theodore Gallivan again, albeit for quite different reasons. Last time she had lost her cool, attacked him with geese and come away with a black eye and a series of bruises for her trouble.

Little prick.

Inclining her head politely, her expression fixed and murderous, Connie cast a tricky bit of transfiguration to turn him into a frog.

Well, fuck. He was still at Cash's mercy here then; and half his energy would be spent in trying to keep a straight face about it again, fine. Trying to avoid looking at Cash was one thing, but his new opponent was absolutely no reprieve from the awkwardness. Theo looked back at her, mouth dry and already expecting her vengeance. Last time had been bad enough, and he'd won that duel – but he also remembered the geese.

Expression taut – he was regretting many of his life choices – Theo cast Duro to try and turn Miss Sykes to stone.

Theo's spell misfired; a nearby wall sconce turned to stone instead. Cash decided that one could be left to someone else to fix, because he was busy trying not to laugh at frog-Theo's ribbit. He couldn't hide his grin, and it took him a moment to remember the right spell and successfully untransfigure Theo — he was glad he'd managed it on the first try.

"Point to Miss Sykes," Cash announced; he had straightened his face out again. "Gallivan to start the second round."

Theodore Gallivan to start this round; please tag Connie in your reply!

Right. Well. That had happened. His face, when he was restored to his former state, was newly flushed.

This time, he shot a conjunctivitis curse at her, hoping her eyes would swell shut and prevent her from casting properly.

There was little chance that her luck was going to hold but, for now, Connie felt decidedly smug. The ribbit had been especially satisfying.

Aiming her wand Connie cast a simple stunning spell. And promptly sneezed.

When it hit the stunning spell, Theo's conjunctivitis curse rebounded — he was knocked over by the spells and seemed blinded when he returned. "Miss Sykes wins," Cash announced, and hurried away in a flash to find a healer for Theo.
