The Ivy Leaf Tearoom & Bakery

Full Floor Plan

Established in 1860, The Ivy Leaf Tea Room and Bakery is located in Diagon Alley of Magical London. Originally established as just a bakery, they provided a wide variety of baked goods and pastries to the public at a reasonable price. As the family company grew in popularity, they sought to expand and established the tea room in 1870.

In the Time-Turner event of February 1890, a new branch of the Ivy Leaf Tea Room and Bakery appeared in Hogsmeade - an exact replica of its original branch in London. This sudden expansion sees the Ivy Leaf’s customer base grow tremendously.

On the outside of each branch, there is a sign put out daily listing specials, with a simple wooden sign hanging above the door which sports the name of the establishment as well as their logo of an ivy leaf. Customers can see from the outside the display that is changed daily by the staff depending on what seasons and goods they are advertising. Customers enter through pale oak French doors.

The Ivy Leaf Tearoom boasts many different varieties of refreshments and beverages for your enjoyment on any occasion. Enjoy an ice cold refreshment for the hottest of summer's days, or a piping hot spot of tea on the coldest winter's nights when catching up with family and friends.

The Bakery downstairs has baked goods and treats for every occasion including but not limited to chocolate and raspberry eclairs, cream puffs, macarons, lady fingers, madeira tartlets, assorted genoese and petit fours. The Bakery also provides delivery of baked goods, most of them hand delivered by one of the delivery boys or the shops manager at the end of the working day.

Throughout the year, the establishment will host special, themed dinners and events complete with desserts and beverages to fit the occasion.

FIRST FLOOR: The Bakery

Upon walking into the establishment, customers can find a large bakery with glass display counters bordering the room. At either side of the rooms cash registers are available for multiple people at a time. Behind the glass counters are wooden oak counters with glass cabinets on the wall where the goods are stored in the morning until they are sold. (Any leftover pastries and good from that day are given to local orphanages and offered up to the staff to take home.) The walls are adorned with a damask dove blue wallpaper with gold accents and modest white oak sconces. To the right of the entrance (left on the map) is a spiral staircase that leads upstairs to the tea room.

SECOND FLOOR: The Tea Room

The Ivy Leaf Tea Room sports cream and gold wallpaper with ten round tables with white lace trim tablecloths and wooden chairs. The tables can be magically expanded to accommodate larger parties. In the center of the room is a table that sports a large floral centerpiece. Around the room are ceiling to floor windows with large purple and gold tasseled curtains tied on either side of the windows and are closed at night.
