Lissington,

How dare you not include require my presence at your upcoming nuptials? I had to find out second-hand that you've even been married at all and I must say-- I am insulted.

I know I haven't been the best acquaintance, in fact rather needy this past year for a friend, (and throughout all of which I am still tremendously grateful) -- but good God man... does it count for nothing?

Anyhow, I shall hold any further reclamation in exchange for my condolences. Woe unto you, having master and beast in due course. I do not envy the day I am to join you in rotten pastures, and neither will I offend either of us any further by digging into the circumstances necessitating such a union. But, I can say this:

I do hope this woman knows how lucky she is to have you.

I shan't send a gift because I received no invitation.

Happily enough,
V. I.

Vince,

Vince, darling, it was an honest mistake. I promised I'd handle the invitesSophia tasked me with sending out the invites, but you should know me by now, sometimes thing slip my mind. See, I accidentally left them atop the dresser in my office, and well... they never got sent. To anyone. It was fine because it was just the two of us.

I know you would have shown up and sat front row for me. I appreciate the friendship we have, simply because. I don't want nor need a reason for that, now do I?

Anyhow, I am the lucky one. She does not see anything that may happen with others as an indiscretion and expects nothing from me in the ways of a proper husband might treat his wife.

I do not want a gift, but I would love your company. I moved to Ireland last year. Perhaps you should visit soon. It's near the beach and the stars are so bright out here.
Sincerely,
Gus

Stuffed inside the envelope is the unsent wedding invitation.

Lissington,

Your definition of 'fine' varies greatly from mine.

I would be remiss however in not capturing the sentiment of that last little note... Israel, you say? When? For how long? Are you coming back? Whatever are you doing with your life? I demand answers, Agustus.

It is a relief however to hear that the new Mrs. Lissington is a generous woman. I shall have no such luck. I will send along a small token for her, mind you.

Let me arrange some things and I would be more than happy to intrude on you both. I am endlessly curious about this vast change and whatever happened with that Foxwood fellow you were so keen on... (I must say, he wasn't much of a charmer to match the likes of you.)

I suppose the invitation is better late than not at all.

Yours,
V. I.

[Sent with vanishing ink under charms only Gus could decrypt with a small token for Sof.]

Vince,

Darling, I promise I am fine. I am the one who proposed to Sophia, and if she said no it wasn't as if my heart was going to be crushed.

As for the rest, the travel bug is still real and the desire to up and leave without a moment's notice sometimes makes my head spin. You might know what it's like to feel trapped and the innate desire to start fresh somewhere. However, we haven't spoken in quite some time so the feelings I used to speak of have... lessened. I am kind ofmostly happy at Hogwarts, and I travel during the school breaks. If I ever want to leave, well, Sophia would be happy to come with me, that I am sure of. She is not tying me down to Ireland, just as I am not tying her down.

I will pass along the token, although let me be the first to say thank you for it.

I look forward to seeing you soon. Bring a bathing suit, as I love very close to the water and sometimes just lounging around gets boring. Foxwood and I are merely friends and there is nothing else to really say on the matter. Someday...
Yours,
Gus
