I am sure you are certain that I did not write you merely to talk about the fair weather we have been having. I have momentous news that I have only just learned myself not too long ago. I am now Quidditch Captain for the Chudley Cannons. Can you imagine? I do not think I have processed the news entirely.

Mr. Humphrey-Mavis,

Your letters are very pleasant even about the weather! But that is such exciting news indeed! What a triumph for you – I am certain it is very well-deserved, and have no doubts at all that your team will have an excellent season with you at the helm. Are you very excited about it? Must you do things very differently, as captain of the team?

I confess I am now looking forward to this quidditch season more than I was before, and I wish you the best of luck

in your first game.
