At just over five feet, Genia is likely done growing, though her black curls give her easily another couple of inches if left to their own devices. She is, her grandmother often tells her, very much her mother’s daughter, with the same wide smile. Hers is a dark complexion that easily reveals her heritage, one often adorned with brightly coloured fashions. Genia prides herself, among other things, on her excellent posture, though walks with a brisk and purposeful gait. She is right-handed.History:

The Before Born in Lagos, Taiwo Adebayo grew up learning the family business: exports. When his father passed, Taiwo was only sixteen years old; against every damn odd, he turned his old man’s one-ship business into a shipping company in the decade to follow, rising to nouveau riche status. Through a combination of luck and business acumen, he continued to grow the business, eventually reallocating his family to England half a decade after Lagos became a colony to further their prospects. April, 1876 Iphegenia Ife Adebayo is the third child in the family born on British soil. She will, in time, prove to be the last child to her parents. 1878 With the occupying family in dire financial straits, Taiwo purchases Gambol Grove, a large country house in Cambridgeshire, at a bargain. Though it does need work, he feels that this will help to improve the family’s social standing. It is renamed Skyfall, for he has always had a fondness for shooting stars. This year they also sell their London home to move to the more fashionable Wellingtonshire district of Hogsmeade. Spring, 1884 For many, love conquers all. For the women in our family, though, love brings a danger: we are born fierce, with beasts within us. If we feed these beasts with love, these beasts will consume us. These were the words spoken to Genia by her Ìyá by way of explanation for her mother’s disappearance. While the youngster doesn’t quite understand, she still senses the finality in the matter: Bosede is gone, and she should not ask questions, but must herself be careful. Autumn, 1884 Now old enough for school, Femi does not join Callista at Hogwarts, instead following in his brothers’ footsteps and attending Uagadou. Genia finds herself more jealous of Femi than she ever was of Camilla, for Uagadou seems far more ~glamorous than Hogwarts. Summer, 1885 For the first time, Genia is included when the family returns to their house in Lagos, meeting her cousins for the first time. She is incredibly frustrated that her Yoruba (which has been lacklustre until now) is not enough for her to get by in the fast-paced conversation of her family. Indeed, she becomes convinced that the cousins refuse to speak English just to spite her, spurring her to better her language skills (though not fostering a lot of love for them). She is sad to say goodbye to Kehinde, who remains in Lagos to learn the Nigerian side of the family business from their uncle. Autumn 1887 - Spring 1888 Genia departs for school—not to join Femi, but to join Callista at Hogwarts. There, she is sorted into Slytherin, focusing much of her academic attention on astronomy (a passion she shares with her father) and transfiguration, two areas of focus of the school she wanted to attend. At the end of the school year, Callista is enrolled in the Pendergast School for Young Roses Autumn, 1889 Now in her third year, Genia adds Ancient Studies to her course roster. Spring, 1890 Thoroughly finished, at least in Father’s estimation, Callista is unleashed upon society. Summer, 1891 A prefect’s badge does not arrive for Genia, a fact that stings quite a great deal. On the plus side, Femi is now home, and happy (well, “happy”, after some badgering) to help her learn wandless magic of the sort taught at Uagadou.
In the throes of her own affair, Bosede triggered the malediction and transformed into a hyena. Her mother, understanding what had transpired, made a donation of her daughter to the Sanditon Resort, and set about quietly investing in various witches and wizards whose research might lead to her daughter’s return.
