Let's leave off this year with a few innocent shenanigans for your students to overthink and gossip about during break, what do you think?
This was a random idea I had and am happy to start if people are into it <3

WHO:
Most 6th and 7th years, and some particularly cool or popular 5th years and/or Quidditch team players. Generally, Head Boys/Girls are not invited for obvious reasons, and any Prefect in attendance can expect to be hazed until they participate. Helps guarantee that they won't spill the beans, you see. WHAT:
Hogwarts has a long tradition of holding this highly secret not-official-not-endorsed Christmas party among older students. Generally, the party starts mostly girls, but the boys always find out and come to replenish food and drink and partake in well-appointed revelry. There are plenty of games, from cards to musical chairs, and much to everyone's dismay, the night typically ends with a drunken musical rendition of "Hoggy Warty Hogwarts". This party has a storied legacy of legendary outcomes: new loves, new quarrels, shocking revelations, and a fair share of inebriated party games. Even if you don't particularly care for your classmates, if you want to know anything about what people are whispering about for the rest of this weekend, you'll want to be there.
WHERE:
The "Come and Go Room" is located on the seventh floor in the left corridor of the castle. There is a hidden entrance opposite the tapestry depicting the attempt of Barnabas the Barmy to teach trolls ballet. The way to open the room is to walk past it three times thinking about what one needs, and the door will appear. WHEN:
Last Friday before everyone leaves on Christmas break, when all the professors are conveniently busy with their faculty meetings and a variety of distracting pranks that party-goers tee up before they come down. OOC time-wise, I could start us up even this week if there's interest WHY:
Come on, let your hair down! Students enjoy this time where they can loosen up a bit outside of the purview of chaperones, and share gifts with friends before they head off on what is, for many, their last holiday break! Other students look forward to the invite as this might be their first acquaintance to the finer pleasures in life - like good cider or brandy, a well-rolled cigarette, or a chance to finally catch the eye of a classmate with their impressive dance moves. HOW:
Knowledge of when and where this party occurs is shared on a need-to-know basis, though 6th and 7th years expect it to happen even if they themselves are not privy to the details. The party tradition is strong, so unless someone tells you it is quite difficult to know how to phrase your need for the Come and Go Room in order to find it. The professors know something like this happens, but the ones who worry have never succeeded in knowing when it happens or where, and the students have gotten quite astute at throwing off their trail.Interested? Please RSVP below!
Just share which character(s) would attend and what they would probably supply (eg decor, music, general chaos, food, drink, or something else for grown-ups). I'll start this soon if there's enough interest! (Like 3+ folks I guess?)
