Explosion Rocks High Street
Ollivander's Wands, Florist Potts Partially Destroyed
Yesterday, an explosion erupted on High Street. The exact cause is yet unknown, but based on the damage it appears to have originated in the wandmaking workshop of Gideon Ollivander. Half the workshop was destroyed by the blast, which also collapsed the back corner of the neighboring business, the Florist Potts. The garden of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd, of Bowtruckle Bypass in North Bartonburg, was also damaged, though their house remained untouched.
There were some minor injuries sustained by passersby, and Mr. Ollivander himself was taken to the Hogsmeade Hospital to recuperate, though the extent of his injuries are not yet known. An employee from the shop said that Ollivander's Wands will be closed at least through the end of the week while they undergo cleaning and structural checks of the building, but because the customer-facing portion of the business was unaffected by the explosion they expect to be able to reopen soon, at least in a limited capacity.
