We don't know each other, and likely never will, but I just had to say that the moment I saw you arrive for your first shift I thought you were the most beautiful, lovely creature that I had ever laid eyes on. Your smile lit up the room and I found myself making excuses for why I needed to continually pass by your mediwitch station just so I could peek at you. It was rather distracting, but I found myself looking for you every day since then.
Our age difference makes me think that you would be uninterested in me, so I had planned to simply admire from afar... only, I fear I've walked past your station and heard you speaking too many times. I've learned how straight-forward you are and practical. You're also confident and opinionated. If we were to ever speak, I'd feel so completely ill-equipped to keep up with you and become a mere puddle of pumpkin soup. Or perhaps vegetable soup. I find I'm a decent mix of traits from different herbs. I had an enchanted rose bush fall in love with a fairy once. That didn't end nicely, though I tried to be kind about it and explain things to the rose. Poor thing got its heart broken when the fairy got bored and flew off, never to return.
I imagine that's how we'll be. I'll be the rose bush, quietly pining after you until you flit away like the fairy to greener pastures.
