Appearance:

Andrew has a naturally athletic build and stands a little over five feet, seven inches tall. His skin is slightly tanned from all the time he's spent in the sun while living in the slums. His dark brown hair is cropped short, and his eyes are of a similar shade. He dresses in clothes appropriate to his station. He is right-handed.

History:

1867 | Andrew Bingham is born to John and America Bingham at their one-room home in the London slums. Though healthy at birth, the winter draft causes both Andrew, his mother, and his two-year-old sister to suffer through harsh colds.

1871 | Andrew's first sign of magic appears while playing with a few of his friends outside the family's home. His parents don't see it and initially believed he imagined it, but subsequent happenings in their presence eventually convince them.

1876 | Lorraine goes to Hogwarts and is sorted into -----. She doesn't do very well academically for the first semester, and upon returning home for winter break their parents have a "talk" with her about her progress. If she doesn't fix her grades, they won't be sending her back to school for her second year.

1877 | After the muggles begin to riot, the Bingham family move to the Hogsmeade slums.

1878 | After another poor school year, Lorraine leaves Hogwarts and goes to work.

1879 | Andrew goes off to Hogwarts and is sorted into Hufflepuff. Unlike his sister, Andrew takes to his academics very well, favoring Charms over the rest of his classes. When he does struggle, he does his best to secure tutors willing to help him.

1881 | Andrew adds Muggle Studies, Care of Magical Creatures, and Ancient Studies to his course load. Muggle Studies proves the easiest of the three, though he does enjoy all of them. He takes his professors seriously when they warn about the importance of paying attention; he doesn't fail a class because of it.

1885 | Andrew takes his OWL examinations and graduated with well enough scores. After his father gets a promotion, Andrew is allowed to return to school for his NEWTs with the hope that the family finances will improve. That year, he becomes enamored with Miss Jamesina Mcintrye, a Hufflepuff in the year beneath him.

1885 | After news of his father's sudden firing, Andrew becomes irritable and distances himself from Jamesina, leading to their unofficial parting at the end of the school year. Andrew leaves Hogwarts and goes to work at the Ministry in the Accidental Magic Reversal Squad at the age of seventeen.

1886 | With Andrew's pay, combined with the money his parents and sister make, the Bingham family is able to move into a more comfortable Pennyworth home.

1887 | The disaster at the Wizarding World Market—which he happened to be present at—fate brings Andrew and Jamesina back together when she's the mediwitch to care for him after he's attacked. They rekindle their friendship-bordering-romance, though Andrew is afraid of messing things up again. While not permanently crippled by his injuries, he is forced to leave the Accidental Magic Reversal Squad (a very active job!) in favor of a Muggle Liaison Office desk job.

Regretful | After making a wrong decision or hurting someone's feelings, Andrew will remember it for years. Even after his apologizes are accepted, he feels the need to continue apologizing.

Other:

☛ Andrew was never able to cast a patronus after leaving Hogwarts against his wishes.

☛ For years after leaving, his amortentia still smelled like Jamesina. Seeing how much their parting weighed on him, he usually turned down any chance to take a whiff of it at fairs and whatnot.
