Eugene,

I am tasked with keeping my nephew entertained for a bit in the coming week, but alas, I have been banned from anything fun by my sister. (No exploring caves, no taking him off to Egypt, no taking him into tombs, you know, nothing fun.)

Anyhow, Seamus is the same age as Theseus, and probably just as energetic, and I was wondering, hoping, crossing my fingers you might have ideas on how to keep him entertained? Hell, we could even toss them together and see how it goes. Please help.

Best,
Gus

Lissington,

Exploring caves is perfectly fine. The backyard is your best bet. Theseus manages to entertain himself for hours, but he unfortunately has a lot of practice. I have a children's broom you can borrow if you like? Doesn't go over 3 feet off the ground and not very fast. Otherwise the zoo in Irvingly is generally a big hit. Ice cream? There's some kind of bone exhibit coming to town in a week or so, I plan to take Theseus to see it myself.

You're more than welcome to bring him by any time, we have a good-sized garden and Theseus could use a friend to play with.

Eugene,

You know Fig. She'd just sense that I took Seamus into a cave and just appear out of nowhere like the banshee she is. But a broom isn't a bad idea. He'd love that, and I have enough room here that he wouldn't be running into anything. I've never been to the zoo, but it sounds like fun. Ice cream, of course. That's breakfast and dinner... and maybe sometimes a snack before lunch.

The bone exhibit sounds like fun. We should try to take them, and then if they're not worn out, back to your place for some shenanigans. Seamus is super into hide and go seek right now, and I'm sure having someone his size to find would be a lot more fun.

Best,
Gus

Lissington,

See you've got plenty to do, you just need to distract your sister from checking up on you. Fortunately mine are all too busy with their own lives to worry about it, plus I've had a child the second-longest, so nobody can really come for me in regards to raising a child.

You're more than welcome to bring him over whenever, I'm sure Theseus would love it. Just think, we can send them off to Hogwarts together in a few year's time. If they're already friends, think of the shenanigans they can get into! Of course if you're still there, they are 100% your problem.

Eugene,

Well, I'm sure you'll see my face soon enough. I think they'd get on splendidly; Seamus might be Foxwood by name, but he has that adventurous Lissington spirit. In fact, I think I'll have to put an extra spell around the Forbidden Forest when he gets his letter so he won't go running in there the first chance he gets. Theseus might be right behind him, if they become friends now. Seamus is quite the little bugger and I think his charismatic skills will only get worse (better?) as he gets older.

It sounds like fun. I'll stop by next Sunday, if that's okay?

Best,
Gus
