If you lost a character you'd like back, you may post in Maintenance starting Wednesday, June 5th. If you have no currently active characters you can post in maintenance immediately :). If you lost a character before the AC, you can post there whenever you'd like!

The June Writing Challenge is now live—have at it!

Have you left Hogwarts forever? The following is the timeline for hitting up maintenance to switch usergroups:

• RIGHT NOW. YES NOW. Switch from student groups to a residential group. You can also switch into an occupation if it doesn't require test scores you don't have yet.
  
• August 1st: Switch into any programs requiring test scores

Okay, so, it was a really short timeline. Remember that all 7th years are finished at Hogwarts now, as will be many 5th years and some younger students who won't have the means to come back. Please take a gander at the following docs as you make your decisions about your student(s)'s future(s):

We have some challenges kicking off today, and more to keep your eye out over the course of the weekend—our birthday weekend! For now, however, you can get your feet wet at Camp Charming 2019, get your sugar fix with some kwazy cupcakes, start racking up entries in the summer raffle, and preview our birthday bonanza!

That's right, it's Charming's birthday!
Nine years ago, before the arrival of her flesh-children, the beautiful Te (Prudence Browne) brought Charming into this world. That's all I really know as I didn't come around until about seven months later but Merlin, am I glad she did! I think I speak for the whole staff team when I say Charming has a seriously ingrained niche in our hearts—here's to many more birthdays!

ONWARD TO THE ANNOUNCEMENTS.

If you're reading this, you're probably entitled to this beautiful stamp, created by the fabulous MJ to mark this momentous occasion:

You can pick this up in the stamp station to add it to your collection if you are a member today or have your first character accepted in the month of June—what are you waiting for?

Because we all have a flair for the dramatic, there are a number of events kicking around to coincide with our birthday—one of which involves cupcakes, which to me is a win-win. Take a peek and earn some prizes!

If you haven't noticed yet, we've got FOUR new skins to carry us into summer: A Study in Sage (Elias Grimstone), Gears of Change (Amelia Evans), Streets of Old (Amelia Evans), and Sweet Dreams are Made of This (Edric Umbridge). This marks the first time that I've been in charge of updating colors—fingers crossed nothing is on fire xD I've also updated two of our skins from Fall '18 (Hocus Pocus and Sweater Weather) to our new layout aka you can enjoy their glory without an ugly mess at the top! Just make sure you choose the version that specifically says "Fall '18" in the title :)



As always, you can choose skins using the dropdown menu at the bottom of the board!

Summer is here, and that means our Summer Reading Challenges have kicked off! What better way to spend the day (other than hunched over your computer posting furiously, of course) than with a good book? These challenges all run until September 1st and are fairly flexible, so take a peek and see if any of the titles tickle your fancy! There should be a couple familiar ones in there ;)

And lastly, while I have you here, have you updated your characters lately? Just like Charming, they, too, have annual birthdays, and may need their age field brought up-to-date ;)

Cleanup time! Please be advised that all of our adoptables lists and lonely plots will be de-cluttered on Monday, July 8th. On that date, the following will be deleted:

• Anything posted by an inactive account (remember: you can switch your post authors!)
  
• Anything not posted or clearly updated on/after June 8th.

With this in mind, for any of these posts you wish to keep, please go in and ensure they have an active author, indicate a "last updated date", and update to remove claimed ads, clean up reservations, etc.

WE'RE "ARCHIVING" LETTERS NOW!

Why Are We Doing This?

Per Bree & Lynn's suggestions, we're now "archiving" letters. What this means is that we're going to be closing letter threads for the purpose of them not showing up as needing replies on your character's post log (character profile > three icons at the bottom of character mini-profile > scroll icon).

What Do You Need to Do?

Sweeps will be handling closing letter threads exclusively. You do not need to post in maintenance to have your letters closed. Similar to sweeping thru threads and marking them as dead, we will be doing this to letters after ONE month of no posting. Should you want your letter threads revived, simply post in maintenance and one of the sweeps will see to it! If you have any questions, direct them here! Happy posting!
