Nov. 17; ideally 3 people please, Parlour Games
This was like being at the club, and therefor significantly easier than making a speech. While on the other side of the room people were playing Blind Man's Bluff, Ross was in a group of people playing All Fours. The card game, like everything else tonight, (and most of his life for the past few months,) was really a front for politics.

"I'll pass," Ross said, glancing at his cards and declining to bet. He continued the conversation they had begun before dealing, "In order to serve as a good Minister, one has to be aware of what's going on in the business world. I want to be a comprehensive Minister - not just for the Ministry's interests, but for your interests as well."

Benevolence had passed on a game of blind man’s bluff, her face tended to turn ruddy with that sort of exertion and she didn’t think it very becoming. Besides which, being taken seriously as a business woman was hard enough without undoing her hard work by running around like a school girl on Michaelmas. As a ratepayer, she was one of few women who did actually have the right to vote on her own behalf, and was therefore taking the entire matter of who to vote for very seriously as though she was voting on behalf of all women kind. Somehow, she wasn’t entirely sure how, she had ended up at the table of the candidate himself. He was a kind faced man, with a warm smile but a man who was she was sure would be terrifyingly intense should he be angered or threatened.

As Mister Ross set out his interest in the business owners of Magical Britain, Benevolence cocked her head and took in the dark eyed man with interest. ’And what, Mister Ross’ she said as the play passed to her, ’would you say are the interests of the business men and women of England?’ she offered a small, if challenging smile, before playing spades from her hand to the table. It wasn’t the most competitive move in the game, but the aim to get Mister Ross’s views, not take the hand of cards.

"Varied, as are the interests of the Ministry," Ross started off, smiling at the woman. Miss Montague was the owner of her own florist shop, he knew, having schooled himself on the various business-owners before this event started.

"First-off, women business owners ought to have the vote,"  Ross said, "Or how else can they communicate their needs to the Ministry?"
