Younger brother, Henry J. Thompsett, born 1877 (10), will begin Hogwarts in two years

Appearance: Sisse is wiry and small, standing at 4 feet and 6 inches, and weighing only 83 pounds. She is built with delicate features she inherited from her mother and has soft blue eyes, wavy blond hair, and a charming and frequent smile. Her complexion is a pale that speaks of her status in life, something her mother has been especially careful to cultivate a respect for as her daughter has grown older. is Sisse’s dominant hand is her right hand. Sisse’s parents do what they can to outfit their daughter well. While she often doesn’t get new clothes, she does take good care of her dresses and pinafores. Like a good young lady Sisse will not leave the house without gloves and a bonnet.

History: Matthew Thompsett was a well respected man when he met the young Miss Charlotte Perkins, she worked in a robes shop as a seamstress following her graduation from Hogwarts. The courtship between the two was quick, and the match made within two months of their first acquaintance. After the first year of marriage, Charlotte blessed Matthew with a son, named in his father’s honor. It was not long before Charlotte was with child again, however, this pregnancy was more difficult, she lost the child during her sixth month. The doctors advised her against having another child, however, she longed for a daughter. In 1876, Charlotte’s prayers and wishes were answered as she was safely delivered of a beautiful baby girl naming her Sisse after her sister.

The Thompsett’s originally settled in Kent, having established themselves as good standing members of the community. However, when troubles started in 1877, only two years after the birth of their daughter, and a year after the birth of their youngest son, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Thompsett relocated to Hogsmeade. Despite the cover of the ministry they had been brought to attention of the muggles and their standing in society had decreased. Thinking of the future of their daughter and the importance of settling her into a magical society in hopes of one day marrying her well, they decided to relocate. The family bought a modest home in North Bartonburg, keeping within their income and allowing for them to employ a governess for their children and send their children to Hogwarts. They were in part helped by the inheritance of Mrs. Thompsett at the death of her father.

Personality: Sisse is a well behaved and polite young lady. She is a bright pupil, but not overly fond of her studies, preferring to spend the time playing with her brothers, and sketching pictures and painting. She is incredibly caring and kind and loves her family, including the staff. Indeed, Sisse is very sweet and charming and is something of a princess in her own family. She is rarely obstinate but she will not tolerate anyone harming her family, whether in speech or in action. Indeed, her fits of temper often revolve around someone else coming to harm rather than herself. She longs to grow up and be like the young ladies on her street and strives for decorum and politeness, rarely stepping a toe out of line. Perhaps her largest fault is she often daydreams too much, about everything. No one dream lasts longer than another, she’s wished to travel the world, play quidditch, be like her father and be an auror, work in a shop like her mother, design clothes. But each of these dreams has faded over the span of at longest several months.

Sample Roleplay Post: Henry was watching her, his bright blue eyes following every small movement she made from his seat on the bench across the courtyard. It was a game they had taken to playing when her letter to Hogwarts had arrived a month ago. Really it had been Matthew’s idea as he was the oldest and knew the rules at Hogwarts fairly better than Sisse herself might. She had neatly arranged herself on a bench in the courtyard, her stocking legs dangling only inches from the ground. She’d had a grown a whole inch in the last two months but it hadn’t let her feet reach ground! The frustration that Sisse felt in her own inadequacies with her growth was keen. Yet she sat as proper as could be expected of a young lady. She did not say a word, instead she looked airly across the courtyard, keeping her facial expression one of a pleasant look, her gloved hands folded on her lap and a bonnet protecting her face from the warmth of the sun. The goal of the game was to remain as quiet and pleasant looking for as long as possible, until a ‘caller’ came. At which time Sisse was expected to ‘host’ her suitor as kindly as possible and turn him away if no chaperon were in attendance. Matthew being the chaperon. Matthew had insisted that this was proper protocol at Hogwarts and that Sisse would have to learn such things as remaining quiet and unnoticed at Hogwarts. In the years to come Sisse would suspect her older brother created the game simply as a laugh and to keep his two younger siblings occupied so he could venture as he pleased without the constant threat of their company, as he often left them for extended amounts of time during the course of the game.

Her back was beginning to ache from remaining in one position for so long and she could feel a bead of sweat soak into the back of her chemise. It was hot outside this afternoon, but Matthew had said that she was not to move and she would keep true to her promise. Besides, she knew the importance of behaving well and would do so at Hogwarts as well as at home. Henry looked away from her, growing bored with the game. He was still young enough not to truly care what happened outside the walls of his home. One day he too would leave for Hogwarts, but for the moment what mattered was that he could hear the streets outside of the stone courtyard and longed to be out in them. This new game was not his favorite, he’d rather be playing hoop and stick in the street with his sister than watch her behaving like a proper young lady. Sisse couldn’t blame him, she too missed running outside. But she’d be dutiful. Besides, she had to make a good impression in school, her parents expected nothing less from her.

“Miss Sisse! Master Henry!” A voice called from within the house, Sisse’s gaze flew to the back door as their governess, Miss Hughes, opened it. The woman was rather plain, Sisse had heard her father remark to her mother on occasion when he thought no one was listening, but Sisse had known her since she could remember and as such found the word ‘plain’ and ‘comforting’ as one in the same. Miss Hughes’s thin brown hair was pulled back into a bun, her dress was of plain light blue cotton that only served to make her eyes look even paler than the light gray they already were and her skin seem paler than ever. Sisse thought it made her look like one of the fae folk in the books Miss Hughes read to her. Indeed it had often bothered Sisse that Miss Hughes had never had a beau call on her. She had been in the service of the Thompsett’s for almost ten years, having come directly from Hogwarts and never once had Sisse seen her with a man. When she had been younger she had remarked on this to her mother, only to have been informed that it was not a lady’s place to wonder about such things for those in their employ, and to be grateful that Miss Hughes had no gentleman callers as such would take her away from Sisse and her brothers.

Miss Hughes smiled at her two young pupils before stepping to the side of the door, “It is getting warm, perhaps you would like some lemonade?” Sisse nodded and jumped up excitedly, her skirt rustling at her knees, lady like attempts forgotten. Lemonade was her favorite and it was a rare treat for Mrs. Kently, their cook, to make some. Henry wasn’t far behind her, their game abandoned, as he hopped up and followed his sister. The two children slipping into the cool depths of their home in search of their treat.
