I need to tell you something before you're married once and for all. I love you. Not the friendly, we've known each other since we were children kind of love. The love that someone who wants to marry you and spend a happy, prosperous future together kind. I've named our future children already. I hope you like the names Rupert and Emma. There's also a little Nathaniel, named for you. We've three dogs and four cats that the children have all named something more ridiculous than the last (you say they are inspired by myself, but I hardly think that's the case):
Dogs: Muffin, Buttons and Cat
Cats: Woof, Bark, Growl and Dog
They're talking about wanting a kneazle next but I told them they'd have to take that up with you. Godspeed.
It is so lonely without you, Nat. I wish you'd gone into healing with me instead of running off to marry straight out of school. You're likely off on your honeymoon soon and I'll be lost to you forever.
What I'll miss about you the most is - no, I cannot pick just one thing. I love everything about you! The color of your hair, the scent that you wear behind your ears (or maybe that's just how your hair smells naturally, of soap and honey and roses), the way that your eyes crinkle at the corners when you laugh. The shape of your nose and the way your lips move when you speak - and everything you say is so clever and witty. I'm always a step behind, but you don't ever seem to mind it.
You're gracious and charming. You're the logic and I'm the whimsy. We fit well together. Some might say our height difference to be too much, but I find the way that you look up at me from your tiny spot on the ground to be adorably endearing and wouldn't have it any other way. Besides, our future children look just like you and I couldn't be happier. Except for poor Rupert, who seems to have gotten his Auntie Maeve's red hair. I think you should take a look at the mop on his head. He's struggling to find a way to look presentable and I'm not much of a fashionable thinker myself.
You have a figure that any girl would envy and any man would - no I cannot finish the thought, even though this is a private letter and we have three children, three dogs and four cats (the latter two not being related to your body, of course.)
I love you, and I'll likely always love you. I hope you're happy in whatever it is you decide to do and perhaps one day, we'll find each other again and I'll be blessed with your friendship once again.
