Did You Know?
Braces, or suspenders, were almost universally worn due to the high cut of men's trousers. Belts did not become common until the 1920s. — MJ
Had it really come to this? Passing Charles Macmillan back and forth like an upright booby prize?

MC/ACAB | REP 3+ | Underground Event

What: A Gladiatorial Contest

Who: Invitees - UC and MC people of 'certain' reputations - discreet and interested.
Other attendees might be the WC people who are hoping to fight, running the betting or own the fighting cocks or dogs*
Cost: N/a - just betting
Where: A warehouse space in a more industrial part of London, but the guest areas have been 'tarted' to have them a roman colosseum theme
Why: Lady Cyrenei is bored
When: 19th March

A range of fights have been organized between people both boxing and magical gladiators, dogs and cocks - the highlight will be a bullfight.

Guests will wear stylized Roman masks, with a touch of venetian styling for anonymity.

A 'Roman' band, playing music, air scented with mint and balsam, food being brought brought around by 'slave girls', prizes for certain attendees (under their seat) novelty items and expensive particulars like naggins, cigarettes boxes, and snuff boxes.  One attendee has a token under their seat which makes them 'emperor' which gets into a special raised dias with their party, a crown and they will make 'calls' on if animals were to be shown mercy or to fight to the death.  So other attendees will cheer or yell to sway him before s/he gets to do a thumbs up/thumbs down.

*modern sensibilities on animal cruelty don't apply to 19th century UC types

UCPB/HB | REP 7+ | BALL

What: Lucky Day Indeed
Who: Bulstrode Family to Host - Invited are UCPB individuals and their close HB relations (those that have not been disowned, that is).
Cost: None
Where: Bulstrode Townhome in London
Why: Hurling Cecilia For the fun of a party
When: March 17, 1892

The theme is St. Patrick's Day - more importantly, it centers around luck! Green decor shall grace the magically expanded ballroom, though with plenty of gold as to not overwhelm the space with only one color. There shall be green and gold colored food and drink, and one may notice glimmering gold light in a glitter like fashion swirl around the room in an elegant, yet random fashion. If one is lucky, they may even spot the illusion of a leprechaun or two - don't worry! They are only illusions. Several hours into the event, there will be an announcement that those lucky enough to catch one of 10 golden snitches will be invited to an exclusive dinner with the family - and hired chaperones, to be on the uttermost proper side - the following evening. Can anyone tell that the Bulstrode family hopes that most of those to catch a snitch will be eligible men? More info, and first dibs on the 10 golden snitches, is in my networking.

A dinner of elegance and an array of light spring colors - though not overwhelmingly so. Served with elegant food of high quality and high popularity of the times. Dinners will be seated as the hosts feel would make for delightful conversation - aka, whomever calls dibs will be then sorted as Kelly and players see fit, might make a dining chart.

ACAB* | ANY REP | GRAND OPENING

What: The Grand Opening of Puck's Parlour
Who: While the business itself is aimed at the middle class, those curious might drop by regardless, and free samples will be given to passers by on the street
Cost: Free samples outside, order food/drink inside
Where: Puck's Parlour, a new tea shop on Hogsmeade's High Street that went in where that cannibal butcher used to be
Why: Kayte wanted an event for a thread starter Celebrate the opening, of course!
When: March 31st, 1892

After some speculation over what would take over the former Campbell's Meats location, Puck's Parlour, a middle-class tea shop, is opening its doors to the public! In addition to the usual teas and cakes, their own signature blend is called Midsummer Night and has a different floral tone in every sip! Samples of this will be made available outside, while those wishing to take a seat (or see if there's any evidence of further cannibalism) may come inside for tea and cakes!
