Ottoline wasn’t meant for the upper class, but it’s where they were born, so they’ve made the best of it. Unfortunately, it has quite literally come back to bite them in the ass. Theirs an exceedingly tough shell to crack and only people known what's underneath but this not because they are shy; Otto isn't the type to cower

• Old Schoolmates || Ottoline is a proud Ravenclaw of the graduating class of ‘76; while they didn’t have almost any friends (their other siblings were more sociable and willing to dally around than them), they definitely recall most of the people who graduated with them in ‘76, no matter house. And at least most of Ravenclaw from '69-'76 was an acquaintance of theirs.
  
  
• Upper Class Peers || Otto trusts very few of their upper class fellows, as they know they’re reputation isn’t the best and it is likely only their wealth that keeps them in others good graces. They also don’t trust most other upper class purebloods, as blood superemist ideals and classism are a common problem (and they really don’t have time for that kind of inbreed stupidity). Luckily, they don’t care too much about what others say behind their back… unless it involves their step-son. If that is the case, well, have fun with a small, venomous widow.
  
  
• Second Chance at Romance? || Ottoline’s parents expect them to start looking for a new husband again; this is not going to happen. They aren’t going to go look for a husband, mainly because Otto’s does not want to repeat their first marriage: a stranger with dangerous secrets. They also have Kirk to think about for the meantime. No, if they marry again, they’re going to be a brat and marry for love– and it is either going to happen or it isn’t (partially because Ottoline’s last marriage did indeed turn out to be too good to be true in the end). Besides, someone looking for a lonely, wealthy widow to take advantage of and marry is a very real possibility; albeit Otto is not lonely nor that desperate. Then there is their… secret.
  
  
• Friends or Acquaintances || Ottoline doesn’t really have friends; at least, they don’t have any they, personally, would label as such. Others might think of them as friend but it is not likely to be mutual sentiment. Plenty of acquaintances though and Otto never forgets a face.
  
  
• The Holyhead Harpies || Ottoline is very proud to sponsor the Holyhead Harpies and isn’t afraid to come by and watch practice sessions or matches. They go to every game they can and aren’t afraid to hold parties in the quidditch ladies’ honor. Would not shy away from throwing a birthday party or something similar for a member of their team. Is it the spiteful pride of a secret feminist? Or just being a good sponsor with too much free time? Probably both.
  
  
• These Strangers Like Me… || Otto isn’t the only one with such a affliction in the Wizarding world! They know this to be true, but do they actually know any other werewolves? No. Would they be upset by meeting another? Probably not, as long as it’s safe for them. I would love to have Otto end up acquainted with (or maybe already know) someone who is similarly afflicted without them or both knowing until later<3

Kieran Abernathy, secret werewolf. Kieran has a tendency to reach out to other werewolves/people interested in lycanthropy anonymously, and also covers werewolves (+ other creatures) for the Daily Prophet. Maybe he comes to talk to Otto for a story on their husband's death by hex rebounding via werewolf, even though it was a while ago?
Quidditch Acquaintances -
Arthur Pettigrew was a year below them in Hogwarts, and his wife used to be the coach for the Harpies (she left in 1890 after a miscarriage.) So they would definitely know him! He's not a blood purist, but was UCPB before he dropped a class due to disgracing himself.
Cassius Lestrange also exists

August Echelon-Arnost is a UCPB and was a Ravenclaw in the year above them. He's a progressive defense attorney, and I imagine they might enjoy each other at parties?

J. Alfred Darrow and Ozymandias Dempsey were both around their age in school but both left the country for a while after graduating (for very different reasons!) so they probably don't have much of an impression of Otto either way, I would think.

Augusta Robins, on the Harpies for life, thinks they're super cool, would fight anyone who talks shit about them!

Carmelina Cramming was a Ravenclaw a couple years above, Welsh and a supporter of the Harpies, is also a widow and secretly a lesbian so has similar disinterest in remarriage.

Porphyria Dempsey is an UCHB, former Ravenclaw but a bit younger, sister of Ozy above, well known in society as a weirdo emo spinster poet. She makes friends with whoever she wants as long as they're interesting, and doesn't care about respectability.

Theodore Gallivan is sponsor of the Chudley Cannons, which he inherited from his father who was also secretly a werewolf. Would have been vaguely aware of any publicised werewolf happenings at the time, but regardless they would probably be acquainted through quidditch now. Re: quidditch, he is young and out of his depth but is Trying.

Jude Wright agrees re: blood supremacist ideals and classist stuff and also doesn't generally like those UCPB crowds, i they're ever in London he and his friends hold regular meetings to discuss this sort of stuff at the Augurey Beak pub in London. He also cares about werewolf rights (not just because of, but partly because of Kieran.) xD

Yassine Bensouda came over last summer as coach for the Moroccan National Team for the World Cup and now is trying to reform the Magpies and bring them up in the league. He likes to banter and bait people; he's UCPB so they might be well-placed for a rivalry.

Ngl, I love all these suggestions <3 Augusta is my kinda gal and Theo seems sweet and impressionable; I would especially love to have a thread with Yassine, though, 'cuz there's nothing better than a good rivalry, especially as Otto would whole-heartedly be into it- having two... antagonistic older brothers can make one predisposed to such things (lol)
