June already? How?! Lots do discuss this announcement, starting with...

Congratulations to Slytherin who has won the House Cup with an impressive 715 points! In second place was Ravenclaw (625), third Gryffindor (575), and Hufflepuff brought up the rear (420). Slytherins eligible for the House Cup stamp will be PMed shortly!

This means that the school year is over and all students are home for summer holidays! Keep an eye out for prefect applications (need a character for that?) launching soon!

On the IC front, we have our first played quidditch match in some time coming up! We still need at least one Hawaiian chaser in order to make this happen, so if you're at all interested, please enlist! We aren't requiring a full application for these, either ;)

On the OOC front, we have kicked off this year's Summer Reading Challenge with some excellent titles, and have not one, but TWO trivia nights(/afternoons) scheduled next week! We're also looking for as many fond Charming memories as possible to be submitted this week as part of our birthday celebrations in EIGHT DAYS.

Our June Activity Check will take place on Sunday, June 5th. What do you need to ensure to get through without a headache?

• Your mini-profile is filled in with height properly formatted (including Hawaiian temporary characters)
  
• All of your characters have been listed in the Character Directory—check back on your entries to make sure they were processed properly! Anyone reactivated this month will need to be placed back on.  (including Hawaiian temporary characters)
  
• Characters made before the last AC have posted at least once this month
  
• This one's mostly for staff, but that your full profile has been filled in ;) (Hawaiian temporary characters are exempt)
  

If all of the above are squared away, there should be no reason for you to fall inactive in the upcoming check!  To our new members: the AC requires no work on your part. The staff team simply makes sure the above is seen to!

Lastly, We are also now taking PW signups for June and our June Writing Challenge has launched!

Activity Check	The list of inactive accounts has been compiled, with deactivations and list maintenance underway :) If you lost a character you'd like back, you may post in Maintenance starting Wednesday, 10th June. If you have no currently active characters you can post in maintenance immediately! If you lost a character before the AC, you can post there whenever you'd like!
Project Memory Lane	Today is the LAST DAY to submit memories for our tenth birthday celebration! It doesn't matter if you've been on Charming five minutes or five years—we would LOVE to hear from you!
Posting Wizard	Congratulations to this month's winners, Dante (Madeleine Backus) and Kit (Roberto Devine) with 71 and 60 posts for May, respectively! June's competitors shall be Bree, Willow, Miri, Lady, Soph, Olive, Fallin, Kelly, and Finn—good luck!
International Quidditch	URGENT: I need one or two more Hawaiian chasers to participate in the match that begins OOC THIS TUESDAY against Team Britain. Additionally, those committed to playing should note that gameplay guidelines will be published today or tomorrow—keep an eye out :)
Camp Charming	Summer is upon us, and that means it's time to kick off Camp Charming once again! We have a number of OOC activities coming up this week and in the weeks to come, so keep an eye out and get involved!
Charming Summer Raffle	Summer also means it's raffle season! We have a TON of prizes this year, so make sure you get your entries in! The first draw will take place on Sunday, July 5th.
Charming Reading Challenge	This year we have TEN books to choose from—read and discuss three of them to complete this year's challenge. The theme is Original vs. Adaptation. Which side will YOU favour?
Trivia Night	Our first EVER trivia night (well, it's night depending on where you live!) is scheduled for TODAY at 4pm EST (9pm GMT). Make sure you've checked out the thread to sign up; the Zoom link and additional instructions will be sent out about 15 minutes before we begin. In addition to snagging a raffle entry, there is also a prize to be won each round! Can't make it today? We have another event scheduled for Thursday!
Movie Night	Lady and the Bean would like YOUR feedback on time & title for tomorrow's movie night. Pop some corn, change into your sweats, and get ready for a cozy evening(?) in with your favourite, Charming friends :)

So, uh, our fabulously creative members sent in a whopping thirteen unique banners for the summer call for submissions—holy crap! I couldn't narrow it down to just four (or even five), so we have SIX glorious new skins to choose from!

We have... Magic in the Mist by Lady (Amelia Evans), A Midsummer Night's Dream by Olive (Ursula Black), Secrets Between Us by Bee (@"Elsie Beauregard"), Down by the Bay by Soph (Ruby Urquart), A Legacy of Magic by Stefanie (Atticus Lilywick), and The Quidditch World Cup by MJ (Elias Grimstone). We also have a large number of skins from previous seasons still available!

As per, you can select your preferred skin via your user control panel, or hit up the drop-down menu at the bottom of the board! This is a per-account setting.

Today's the day! Charming is ten years old today, that's wild! HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHARMING and the most sincere thanks from all the staff to all our members, new and old, for having made this site as special as it is for a whole entire decade. <3



Not only do we have a celebratory stamp for you to claim, there is plenty more planned for the week! Keep your eyes peeled for the results of Project Memory Lane, OOC game fun with Jackbox Party and Pictionary, IC game fun with played quidditch (bring it on Britain vs. Hawaii!) and possibly some more surprises! ;)

• Be 30+ years of age at the time of appointment if male
  
• Be 45+ years of age at the time of appointment if female
