April 1st, 1888 - High Street for this!
Una had decided to spend her day off in Hogsmeade. She'd already wandered about the park some and then found herself wandering down High Street. She didn't really need anything in particular but found herself window shopping as she went anyways. Many little children, and even some adults, had been milling about laughing and chattering with excitement with brightly colored eggs. Una was even quite certain she saw a couple of fluffy little bunnies as she went about.

The thought of Easter egg hunts had her smiling but she hadn't really thought to partake in one herself. That was, until she saw a brightly colored egg tucked gently in the corner of the shop window she'd just been looking at. With her smile widening at the sight of the egg, she gingerly picked it up. Unfortunately, she didn't seem to be gentle enough. The brightly color egg shell seemed to disintegrate at her touch!

"Oh no!" she exclaimed with some embarrassment as the yolk of the egg seeped over her hands and some even spilled onto the window's ledge and the window itself.
Open to any passerby or even a shop owner!

Irvingly was admittedly a cozy town, but it was not one he'd intended to stay in throughout the duration of his time in Great Britain. He wanted to get out, even if 'getting out' entailed going to the all-magical community a mere few miles outside of village shared between the magical and muggle people.

There seemed to be a good, hefty population of witches and wizards in the village, which made it all the more amusing when he ran into his sister. "Good job, ditzy," he laughed, peeking above the much shorter Una. "What on Earth compelled you to just... pick it up? I'm sure you know they're brittle by now," he teased.

Of course it would be her brother to stumble upon her in such a predicament. As if they didn't already see enough of each other. Not that Una really minded. They had always been rather close as siblings and had traveled the world together. He did, however, love to poke fun at her whenever he could.

She turned to glare at him and even flicked her fingers in his direction to spray him with some of the yolk. "You know, a nice brother would help his sister to clean this mess before an irate storekeeper comes out and yells about us bloody Americans ruining everything," she said with a frown. She'd clearly taken the awful Witch Weekly article to heart and it hadn't left her mind really since.

"Well an American did ruin that egg," he laughed, trying to crush the egg further into her hand so it made a bigger mess. "And you shouldn't take all that stuff so seriously — Britain ruined America once upon a time with tea taxes, so we're due for a little revenge, don't you think?" he teased.

Una stuck her tongue out at her brother much like a young child would do and even went so far as to blow a raspberry at him after he crushed the egg further in her hand. "It was supposed to be an Easter egg and so shouldn't have broken so easily. I barely touched it!" she exclaimed in her defense as she reached for her wand with her clean hand and quickly cleaned the mess up from her hand but not before smearing yolk onto her brother's jacket.

"And I do take it to heart. They singled me out specifically. Not to mention it was my face on the front cover. Not yours," she said with a huff, grimacing some as she caught sight of her blonde haired reflection in the window. She was still avoiding her natural red hair because of the article so they really didn't have that same resembled as they once had when standing next to one another.

Tierney snickered before letting out a mild scoff as his coat was thoroughly destroyed by his hellish sister. Just as quickly, he lifted his wand and swiftly cleaned the mess. "Maybe — just maybe — you weren't being as gentle as you thought!" he teased. "Gentle is a word I've never used to describe you, anyways."

Which was probably why Una had been planted on the cover of Witch Weekly in the first place. Whatever, it spoke more of snooty British society than the fun-loving, genuinely good Una. Just because she didn't fit their idea of the proper, fragile woman didn't mean Una was inherently bad — who would look at his sister and think that?

"Well, they can plant my face on the cover any day! Maybe all the ladies will run to me, then," he snickered. "Even in such a stuffy society, there has to be the ladies that like a rough-and-tough guy like me."

Una rolled her eyes and even went so far as the cross her arms and stomp a foot in mock temper tantrum for what her brother said. She really had been gentle but there was no point arguing with Tierney about it. He was as stubborn as an ass. He was an ass. But regardless of her inner thoughts, she loved her brother so heckling him back was obviously what would happen.

"Or they'd know to run in the other direction when they saw you," she said with a huff, "Witch Weekly could forwarn them of you instead. Since there are clearly far better options running around out here. Especially if they want rough and tough." She pinched his arm then, hoping to cause him to squeal with pain or something to further emphasize her statement.

Tierney scrunched up his nose and stuck out his tongue, mirroring her expression from moments ago in response.

"Well if they don't like me here, I'll just go run back to America to find me a bride. At least there they can appreciate a hero whose harrowing expeditions aim to discover formerly undiscovered creatures from around the world!" That was about as exciting as he could make his mission sound, seeing as he'd spent the entire day eating and annoying his sister. And it's not like he was really looking for a bride, right?

Una laughed finally but shook her head slightly at her brother. "I'm pretty sure you've got time before you need to worry about such a thing," she said with a shrug, not about to broach that topic that she was the one that probably needed to find a husband before too long or she'd end up a spinster, "Besides, women are nothing but trouble. Do you really want one constantly nagging at you?" Other than her, of course. But what were little sisters for?

Tierney rolled his eyes in response, though couldn't prevent a smile from slipping onto his lips. "Women — wives — do come with a good side." Though he wasn't about to elaborate on that fact. "Besides, I imagine some day you'll fall in love and ride off into the sunset with your beau," he teased with a dramatic sigh.

It was Una's turn to roll her eyes again. "Oh please," she began and shook her head at her brother, reverting the color of her hair back to its natural fiery red, "Who wants a red headed American as a wife that will probably love an erumpent more than she'll ever love a man?" It was a pretty legitimate question, really. She doubted there were many men interested in having a wife who would put her job and creatures before him.

Let the eye-rolling war ensue.

"Oh please, Una. Don't act like you won't ever marry," he scoffed. Even as progressive as he was, he couldn't imagine his younger sister never desiring to settle down, and have a family of her own. Women always wanted that in the end. "Besides, if all else fails, you find another magizoologist who will raise the erumpent as a child with you. See? There's a solution to every dilemma," he teased, tapping a finger to her nose.

Una didn't roll her eyes again but she did crinkle up her nose when her brother tapped it. He clearly lived in a fantasy world, there was no other way around it. She wasn't going to burst his bubble though. Then he'd get all mopey and pouty and she simply didn't have the time for that. "Alright then Mr. Fairy Tale," she said with a smirk as she turned to stand next to him and linked her arm through his, "Shall we go hunt for your damsel in distress and my knight in shining armor? They most certainly aren't here on the street. Perhaps the park?"

Tierney let out a chuckle and allowed his sister to loop her arm through his. He was certainly not living in a fairy tale, whatever his sister may have thought; there was nothing so radical, he thought, about the notion that his sister may find love. She may have been a little fiery, but he refused to believe all British men disliked women with spark.

"Whatever you desire. Anything to pretend I'm working," he teased before leading her onward.
