Whatever the source of mirth in the other girl was Betsy was absolutely convinced that she most definitely was treading on somebody’s toes when it came to Mr Wright. She believed that Eileen was telling the truth, but there was definitely something there they weren’t saying: Kieran looked far too awkward not to know something about it.

Her heart beat a little faster. This group were becoming more and more intriguing. She definitely wanted to see more of them, she decided, as she knocked back another whiskey.

“Oh I’d definitely make time,” she quipped, glancing between the two. “To see him in full form,” she said slyly, keeping one eye on the young man even as she grinned at the girl, wondering what sort of reaction she might elicit.

Eileen pressed her lips together to stifle another laugh, thrilled to see Miss Betsy playing along with their little charade. If she was indeed going to come around more often, Leeny wasn't going to complain, it would be nice to have another agreeable woman around. Leens loved her boys, oh did she, but they drove her batshit crazy sometimes. It would be nice to have another woman to commiserate with, there was no denying that.

"Friday, this week Key?" They changed every now and then, but they'd just had this week's so she assumed it was still on the same schedule. Then again with this bunch, Leeny never presumed to know anything other than lots of arguments and the occasional throwing of one -or both- of her boots. "It's definitely worth your time." Not to mention baptism by fire in regards to their expanding friend group.

"Friday at 7," Kieran said with a grin. He liked Betsy so far, even if she almost definitely had a thing for Jude, and if she could survive a Friday night meeting then she could survive anything.
