Ruth has been through a lot but that’s life, and life is meant to be enjoyed; so she does. She is mischievous and youthful in spirit, with the wisdom taught by time and age and hardship. A skilled healer and a newcomer from the across the pond, she is facing her new job at Hogwarts (started in Winter of '91) with her usual determination and wicked smirk.

• Colleagues || Ruth enjoys her colleagues and does not shy away from chatting with them; she enjoys giving out advice to younger members of staff and sharing tales of youthful experiences with other, older staff as well. She’s not one for formalities for the majority, so except that typical American nonsense and way of thinking; do feel free to drop by the infirmary any time – this old bat does occasionally get lonely.
  
  
• Students || Dirt, scrapes and scraps are just part of growing up! That being said, Ruth lives on campus and is always available to help youngsters in need; except a wink and a fondly exasperated talk about safety but she’s not the type to scold the students for injuries caused by living life to the fullest. She likes to be a reliable force in the children’s lives (and that may or may not have to do with nostalgia regarding raising her nephew). However, injuries from fighting other students? Maliciously dealt pains? The victim’s attacker better watch their step– this is not an old aunty you want to cross.
  
  
• Friends || Having just migrated here from across the pond as well as just moving from London, Ruth doesn’t have many friends. But she’s an exceedingly amiable person and isn’t afraid to make any!
  
  
• Fellow Animagus || While she doesn’t necessarily introduce this fact, Ruth also doesn’t actively try to hide she is an animagus either; after all, she’s registered with two different governments regarding the fact, so why shouldn’t she get to use it and enjoy it whenever she wants? Besides, it's all she has left of her first love. Would love to meet some other animagi -- as most of the ones she heard of (and the one she met) were Native Americans -- and compare stories.
